Anthony Joshua responds to reports of $500 million offer from UFC: ‘We’re all ears’

*it's

No need to get defensive.

English is hard for some kids in primary school.

Keep at it though.
You're right cool bud. Cleaning up the cage fighting forum one post at a time. Edit just noticed your name hahah it's your thing I get it. Follow my posts you'll have lots to correct. Carry on sir

Here's a fact for you newer MMA fans -

Pride FC was the big name in MMA for years. They put on the big shows on the biggest MMA stage in the world. They had freakshow fights, pro-wrestler crossovers, K-1 Kickboxer crossovers. They also contracted legit world ranked fighters and some of the best guys in the world. They always had a combo of legit MMA and fights for pure entertainment.

Other than a couple snoozer cards, you rarely watched a Pride FC card without coming away entertained. They knew how to put on a show and how to bring in more audiences.

If the UFC were to stick to purely fights by rankings for MMA purists, they'd go broke. They need the crossover stars and the odd fight based on celebrity. They are still billing legit ranking/contender fights, so the odd circus show is not a big deal if it brings in the money.

This, this and more of this.

Idiot fans want it both ways. Complain about fighter pay, then complain when the UFC makes matches that generate the most money.

There’s a happy medium. It can be a legitimate sport and organization without abiding by some strict champion vs. #1 contender system all the time.

Do a boxing match between Joshua and some well known HW MMA fighter. Near certainty it’ll be a viscous knockout for Anthony. Generates interest, generates money. Follow up mma fight would bring in huge money.

Boxers are mercenaries. They go where the money is.

Why is anyone surprised?
Dana obviously knows he'd have to bring a boat load of cash to rival Golden Boy/Mayweather promotions.

It's for Zuffa boxing, not for him to fight in MMA. Also a 500M deal doesn't mean guaranteeed 500M or 500M upfront. It's a multi-fight deal with stipulations and performance milestones. Do you guys remember TUF in the beginning?? You got a 100K deal, but it was actually 100K only if you won your next 5 or so fights in the UFC.

But wait til he gets his Reebok money.
