Yeah, a 30-13 record is very good. How many fighters have 30 wins total?

What MMA records boil down to is quality wins and Anthony Smith has a few good ones.

If you glance at his record, it seems ok. But when you read between the lines, you realize none of the credible names were at or anywhere near their best.

DC thought Shogun was worthy of a title shot. And Brock, apparently. Smith seems fairly credible compared to those two.

I like DC, but I disagree with him here. He probably just wanted a legend like Shogun on his record. Brock is honestly more qualified than Smith as strange as that sounds. Hunt at heavyweight is a more consistent win than Shogun at light heavyweight. Does Smith have any other wins at LHW? I don’t remember.
