Arona said Fedor was "fragile" from bottom position and predicted his loss to Werdum

When Ricardo comes out of hiding we'll be sure to congratulate him...

Arona sure knows about takin dem juices who make you less fragile

When Arona fought Fedor he was still very green, gave up position too easily coming from a judo/sambo background were you'd have a reset reasonably quickly on the ground against a BJJ opponent who built positional control very well.

Within a year or two though he'd changed quite significantly and the Fedor of Pride was a very different fighter, when he lost to Werdum it was due to declined grappling ability IMHO relative to fighting Nog.

Fedor's game off his back was never again tested by a black belt like Arona, until the Bigfoot Silva fight.

On the bottom? That wasn't exactly how that went down, was it?

Brazilian fighters nut hugging other Brazilian fighters vs. non-Brazilians is just a way of life.

Eh, Werdum was a combination of factors. Fedor wasn’t in bottom position, he had top position just like he had top position on black belt Nog for 15+ minutes. Nog also had top position on Fedor, and got swept for his trouble. Fedor was no slouch on the ground whether on bottom or top.

Arona never said Werdum would win via submission from bottom, but rather that he would win using his jiu-jitsu (which was correct)
That Rampage headbutt slam really did a number on him eh? Still salty all these years later I see; its a shame he didnt get headbutt slammed by the GOAT
Fedor's been knocked out more times than Arona has

How "like Arona"? Nog is one of the most proven BJJ fighters in MMA history.
Arona is a multiple time ADCC champ who didn't get a single point scored on him in 13 matches

Who's the best grappler Nog ever submitted?

Tim Sylvia? Dan Henderson lmao?
