As a hater... have you ever felt bad for the guy you were rooting against?

Anderson Silva, hated the guy. Kinda started rooting for him when he went up to face DC.

Vitor- Doper but felt sorry for him later

Wow! The theme of the week is poor reading comprehension. Hopefully next week the reoccurring theme will be rational conversation about MMA as a sport and not how these athletes have offended you personally
Nice little back off after realising your massive flaws. You play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

Bigg Rigg.
Strongly disliked him going into the GSP fight, as I was pretty sure he was juicing, and he was mildly disrespectful towards GSP. Then disliked him more after he didn't get the nod and started whining.

But wow.

He can't make weight, he gets the crap beat out of him time after time, he has to go up and fight an even bigger juicehead in Paulo Costa, who mocks his now-depleted power in the ring, his steakhouse fails...
and to top it all of he gets beat up by a gay porn star.

And its not like he's got his looks or his brains to fall back on.
Really pray for the guy now.

You described is fall from grace hilariously! I've pretty much the same view, just when you think things can't get any worse for the chap he gets battered by a gay porn star, I mean seriously how do things get any worse for him. Feel terribly sorry for him and wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't end up in a mental hospital.

None of us truly hate any fighter. Some of us just need a hand and a little love sometimes. We’ll/they’ll be ok in time....

First of all, very good thread @SalvadorAllende. I know you are smart man, your contributions to the betting thread are not left unnoticed!

Second, I kinda felt bad for Weidman, but not really... He fucked up Silva's career. He almost murdered Munoz. Don't like the guy, what he did to other fighters he took it 10 fold.

I find myself often cheering for the smart fighters. No matter how bad of a person they are outside the octagon. I always like the most cerebral, smartest guys in the octagon. So the stupid fellas I don't give two shits for them when the day to pay all of their bills come. If you are not up to the competition, you deserve what you get. Even if what you get seems to be too harsh. :)

That entire reply is an incoherent mess. Throughout this entire thread, I assume in several others as well, you have incoherently went at people! You clearly do not possess the ability to communicate to intelligently. I would like to thank you though because you provide a great deal of data that proves sociological disintegration is more apparent in MMA fandom than the other combat sport forums.

That was another piss poor reply. You try so hard to sound intellectual but in the end you said nothing. The juice wasn't worth the squeeze. But keep going, I don't mind making you waste your time.

I’m sure most of you don’t remember Tito’s title reign or his rivalry with the Lions Den (post prime Ken Shammy), but it was a spectacle back in the day... Tito like Conor could sell a fight. He was boisterous, obnoxious, and absolutely lacked a respectful bone in his body. Personally I didn’t see it as bravado, coming from a TMA and military background mutual respect to me should be a necessity in competition... anyway, moving on, I wanted to see HBBB get KO’d dead by Chuck, Wandy or Vitor, but we all know he epically ducked certain fights while running his mouth with the belt. That being said at least he stayed active and defended unlike some of his more current successors...
<{Joewithit}>
Fast forward and he finally got soundly beat by Randy and then Chuck cashed the check Tito wrote earlier by highlight reel KO. Tito then went on a good win streak beating Ken a few times, Vitor and a green Forrest Griffin setting up the hematch with Chuck... we all know how that went.

From 2006-2014 Tito went on a hellacious seven year (2695 day) 1-7-1 skid. He was competitive is some of the early fights that ended his UFC stint, but was humiliated in a few of those loses getting finished. Unfortunately Tito always had an excuse for losing, “cracked skull”, or “I went out on my shield like a warrior” most notably “it is what it is” became Tito’s mantra long before countless other fighters have adopted this nonsensical phrase.
<{titihmm}>
By this time I felt bad for Tito, karma had come full circle and then some. the guy... let’s face it hasn’t had an easy road, self sabotage at times yes... he got wrapped up having kids with Jenna and his personal life became a fish bowl for others to criticize and chastise him... Actually seeing him get some of his self respect back by winning some fights in Bellator and get his personal life in order made me happy for the guy. Even seeing him beat a geriatric Chuck seemed long overdue for Tito, even I felt maybe he deserved some redemption...

I changed my mind however about a nanosecond after he opened his mouth post fight press conferences...lol

Did Conor punch anybody before Khabib jumped the cage? No because there was no one to punch. 1 man caused everything and it wasn't Conor who was sitting on his ass when Khabib jumped the cage.

Tell me who Conor punched before Khabib jumped the cage?

Tell me who Khabib punched before Conor punched someone ?

The only two guys in the UFC that I would say I hate are Jon Jones and Cody Garbrandt.

I'm sick of caring about Jones, though.. mostly because he's such a screw up that doesn't deserve the time of day. The frustrating thing is the UFC are intent in giving him everything he wants over and over again.

Cody, on the other hand, I'll never get sick of watching him lose. Dillashaw produced two masterclasses against him and it was an absolute joy to watch both times. Really wish Cruz could get a W over him in the future too.

Special mentions would be Joanna (her arrogance in the build up to the first Rose fight was sickening and turned me against her permanently) and Kevin Lee (pretty much for the same reason in most of his recent fights)

I've hated Anderson since his fight with Maia. I felt damn bad for him after he broke his leg.

I was close to hating surfer boy Faber but man he showed heart against Aldo.

I've hated hughes since seeing the excerpts of his book but what happened to him recently was fucked up and sad.

I hated Fedor's fans, and thus liked seeing him lose, but seeing him manhandled by roiding Bigfoot sure sucked.

I hated Ronda but felt bad after her stumble in the cage and Holly's kick to the face

Is it their success that bothers you?
I don't care about others success. They're both annoying douchebag people who care nothing about others. They're sore losers and horrible sports. Same goes for Jones, he's a horrible human being. If Conor/Ronda/Jon were normal people, i'd want nothing to do with them IRL as they're all shitty human beings.

I also hate people like Paul Daley and Frank Mir. But since they're not anywhere near as famous as Conor/Ronda/Jon, most people probably wouldn't give a shit about me hating them as well.

Am I supposed to give them a pass since they're popular by a normal person's standards? A shitty person is a shitty person regardless of fame or infamy.
