Why do the numbers matter? Either they were here as part of the country or they weren't. You asked if it was a multicultural society. It was. That doesn't change just because it wasn't a perfect mathematical distribution.
Yes at the very beginning when the country was being formed it was extremely diverse but it became the US and those Europeans became Americans and then later everyone else. like I said, they formed the diversity of cultures and accents you see all through out the US.
But anyone should understand that the numbers are the reason why white Americans have always ran the country and had most of the wealth.
