He was laundering tens of millions, if not more through boxing. Much harder to do anything with all their cash if none of it is "cleaned" and can be used in legit major purchases or investments. Only so much you can spend on gas and groceries and all major purchases and investments at some stage are required to inquire about the source of your funds...

And he was a bit of a narcissist at heart. He wanted the limelight and to be a celebrity in terms of being known as a mover and shaker in the boxing world. But he did an Icarus and got too close to the sun. If he had kept his head down he may have lasted a lot longer.

So, Mr. Nicolas Link of ‘Disrupt Promotions’ claims no link? He is just claiming to be grabbing the opportunity of hiring all these assets for his Dubai promotion by buying up all the cheap Probellum fighters and MTK fighters.. (Yet these fighters went too easy as if told to do so.)

Probellum - President, Richard Schaefer is back.
If you remember he quit Golden Boy Promotions took many boxers and created Ringstar Sports & sold it to David Haye Hayemaker losing all his boxers. So went to MTK Global got lots of boxers tied to MTK and created Probellum. After the cartel became news Probellum also seemed to fade and news of Schaefer seem to fade. Now he is back but with a whole new gig.
