Povetkins excuse was that he used it before it was banned but didn't he test clean before he tested dirty? Wasn't that why his claim was rejected?

I think he tested dirty, then clean, then dirty later.

right, but cut it off after hte first two segments of that. He tested dirty, like canelo, then clean, like Canelo. But it was obvious to most that something shady was going on.

Canelo ended up innocent, but it wasn't exactly unreasonable to think he's a cheat given his build, his weight cutting and his stamina issues.

Maybe if Canelo starts training during the tail end of his suspension we can see them fight in September. It would suck for this to be delayed yet another year.

He was tested in late March, clenbuterol would still show in his system for a few more months, by taking a hair follicle test.
