Exactly and good points about the bodywork, that could pay dividends on a guy in Guerrero who seems pretty soft at 147. Berto really doesn't have much of an inside game to speak of and, like you said, he still landed some extremely hard uppercuts on Guerrero throughout the fight and a lot of them with what had to be close to zero visibility out of both eyes.
Also, the uppercut is one of the best weapons in Floyd's arsenal on the inside and the fact that an almost blind, inexperienced inside fighter in Berto was able to consistently land them makes it fairly clear in my eyes that Guerrero is in for a shitload of punishment if he goes the same route with Floyd.
I respect Guerrero's abilities and accomplishments and all that, but I just don't see how he can win this. Outclassed everywhere skills wise, no size or strength advantage, no cardio advantage, nothing I can think of that gives him a legit shot here.
