Dana: I'm one of those guys that doesn't think Fedor is the GOAT

except he beat the guys at their own game. that's special. it's one thing to takedown a striker and beat him on the ground, or force grapplers to stand but he did the exact opposite and not just won but decisively beat them.

Except If those opponents had ANOTHER skillset to rely upon instead of being one dimensional, they might have beaten Fedor. Instead, the latter was the only one who had that to fall back on and that is why he beat them.

That's why his luck ran out in SF. Werdum could have but didn't want to stand with him so he used his other skill and submitted him on the ground. Bigfoot was easily beating him standing, then when it went to the ground he beat him even worse. Hendo beat Fedor in every single aspect of the fight.

Overrated. Not in the top 5. Arguably just a pioneer and not even top 10.

He dominated and beat all the guys in pride who all went on to win belts and have successful careers in the UFC. So how isn’t he one of the greatest of all time. Why did Dana try so hard to sign a guy who he didn’t think was one of the best
You nailed the exact reason Dana doesn’t think Fedor is top tier. Fedor told him to buzz off. Dana’s ego doesn’t allow him to be objective after that. He has to get a dig in like a 18 year old girl with a boy who said no thanks.

I don't hold that against Dana. I mean he's a promoter, of course he's not going to say "Yes, Fedor is the HW GOAT. Btw, we never had him."

The send off was great, it would have been better if he won. I feel like he may not have really trained like he needed to for this fight, he didn't really seem like he was in fighting shape. Didn't really seem like he was training seriously.
Nemkov saying the traveling to multiple different countries to try and get a visa severely cut into Fedor’s training time, and also Fedor was nursing a back injury… and while that could be true, the problem is it’s always true for Fedor these days. If it wasn’t his back, it’d have been his knees, if not those then it’d be his broken hands, or his fucked up nose…he’s physically just falling apart.

A fight camp is meant to get someone who is in good condition up to elite fighting level. When your body just falls apart every camp, then that’s a wrap.

So the guy who beat multiple UFC champs and was undefeated for a decade or so, was actually never any good? Gotcha.

Why can’t he just say it’s time for him to retire but that he had a great career? Why does he have to shit on him?

Whether you like him or not, you can't deny Fedor's influence on MMA. Other MMA legends and HOFs that fought in the UFC gave him a standing ovation and support after the fight.

This. Whose opinion am I going to take ? Dana or like 15 MMA legends?

Dana needs to be honest with himself.

UFC owners bought the Pride organization Fedor was champion of and then tried to sign him.

Fedor went to Strikefore and UFC bought it too. Dana then admitted they offered Fedor more money than they had any other fighter, with the contract set to include a guaranteed immediate title shot.

He also pushed back an entire UFC card start time instead of going head-to-head with Fedor’s retirement fight against an opponent who finished the over the hill Fedor very quickly in the first fight.

When Dana was negotiating with Fedor he called him the best and one of the greatest. When Fedor did not sign with the UFC he trash talked him.

Dana says one thing now, but his business practices and previous statements when trying to sign Fedor contradict his latest statement.

Crybaby Dana triggered still that Fedor wouldn’t take some low ball offer to fight for U Fight Cheap. Not only is Fedor one of the GOATs as a fighter he’s also the GOAT for telling the bald goof to piss off

I see Dana still sounding like a jaded woman who got rejected, because she was too high maintenance.

Lot of salty ballickers ITT. Dana was polite and shared nothing but his truthful honest opinion when asked for it. What part of his answers were false? Did Fedor actually fight the best in the UFC? Was Fedor KO’d by a middleweight who is older than himself?

IMO he lost to Arona in RINGS and Nog second fight... What was not a shame but he was gifted some decisions...

Yeah Dana didn't really tread into any negative territory until the 3rd time they asked the questions, and he referenced his previois opinion of Fedor.

He has a business to run- you have to promote the future not the past. This is much ado about nothing.

Sounds like a bitter bitch, not a good look Dana.
