Crime Disney sues DeSantis

Actually based on Florida law DeSantis was supposed to step down when he ran for President but he changed the law so he could still be Governor after he dropped out. It was like he knew he was going to lose. It is fucked up that DeSantis changed a law that only effected him and most people were cool with that abuse of power
.
Removal of term limits incoming.

But they're totally against authoritarianism, yessir

I'd say I've never seen anyone as mind-fucked by Trump but there are several contenders for that award around here
They don't even realize he turned them into a bunch of Rosie O Donnels and Kathy Griffiths....You could be discussing your favorite Hamburger Joint and how prices have skyrocketed in the last three years but theyll screech "But Trump".....reeeeeee

It's looks like this has been settled and Disney gets to retain the special status of their district.

You got it 100% backwards.... as usual. Disney bowed to Ron.

Disney agreed to end litigation in state court involving a Florida special tourism district containing the entertainment giant’s Walt Disney World resort. That means the DeSantis board remains and the Disney board is out.

Disney didn't sue over the board, they sued because DeSantis was trying to remove the district's special status. Disney retained that status in the settlement agreement. The board itself was sued. The existence of the board wasn't the contention.

It's in the OP.

Disney sues DeSantis and oversight board after vote to nullify agreement with special taxing district
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts on Wednesday sued Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his hand-picked oversight board, accusing the Republican 2024 presidential prospect of weaponizing his political power to punish the company for exercising its free speech rights.

DeSantis won.

Disney agreed to remove the board they instituted at the last minute before DeSantis's hand-picked team took over, giving the governor's people control.

Disney is dropping it's public record lawsuit, but NOT it's First Amendment suit.

The 2020 plan goes into effect, but Disney gets to be consulted on decisions.

Thanks @Two Crows

The lawsuit was not about the board, it was about DeSantis removing the special tax zone.

The settlement with the board, is just that, a compromise, but Disney retains the special status of the district.

The fact that people are cheering this on, just goes to show how they'll support fascism, as long as it's their side doing it.

DeSantis pushed his luck and he'll soon realize Disney has deep pockets.

This is great for Disney. They were the "supports genocide in China" mega international corporation what sues soccer moms for putting Minnie Mouse up in daycare hallways. And now, they are the champions of the oppressed and warriors of free speech. Amazing. Thanks Meat Ball you stupid piece of shit.

Don't F with Disney. They're famous for having the most vicious legal team in the world.

Ron about to enjoy a buffet of mouse schlong

Should be a slam dunk case, especially with all the remarks on the record from Desantis stating exactly why they were fucking with specifically Disney

Oh yeah, and what about Coper McCopepost?

My point is, if removing term limits for governors is authoritarian, explain how its not authoritarian to support Senators & Congressmen staying in office for 50 years.

Wouldn't be surprising if they do the exact same shit for Newsome in California.
