Helwani: "Masvidal v Usman is the front runner."

Colby's playing it wrong if he's asking for too much money now. Fight for the belt for peanuts and once you get the belt, you use that leverage to get the big paydays.

I would love to see this fight happening just for the sole reason it will throw Colby into another hissyfit.

Well if his last fight was 45k to show I'd say he's probably getting low-balled. A main event and the title unification bout, he should get at least double that (and that's by the greedy standards of the UFC)

Until I hear the amount he's asking to be paid, I will assume the UFC is doing what they always do. So far only the Diaz bros had the courage to stand up to Zuffa.

To me it's commendable, if you're not getting what you think you're worth then 'just say no.' DFW always bragging about all his money and capital, and wasting a million at a casino in one night. Maybe the UFC needs a new promoter... DFW's gambling could have funded the next 4 or 5 headliners at least for an adequate pay day.

As long as fighters just accept the Corporate bullshit, nobody going to get paid justly.

That sucks. I would like to see Usman Vs Colby. It makes sense. Would also prefer to see Diaz fight Masdival. These two fights have potential to be awesome on their own. Hope they work out the money stuff. They all should be getting paid more anyways. UFC can afford it. They are not hurting. If either of those fights are on a good solid card it will do good.

This is going straight into an Usman vs Woodley 2

They sideline Nate with Usman/Masvidal and then Dana uses that to keep saying Nate never takes fights and people here will believe Dana.

It's kind of funny isn't it. People here bag on Dana all the time, but if the Sherbro 'fans' are getting their fights upended because of lowball offerings, they jump on the Dana D*ck sucking wagon.

End of the day most of these fans dont care about the fighters. They bagged on Nate for years for standing on principle... Sorry you blood-thirsty knobs, but some of these fighters actually understand this is business as much as sport, Dana proves that shit all the time. So, if the entertainers aren't happy with their pay, too damn bad for you.

I would bet Colby is asking for a hell of a lot less than Nate too, but that's hardly the point. Pony up the cash, or keep side-lining fighters Zuffa, I hope more fighters jump on this bandwagon, instead of being good company boys like Masvidal.

As a Colby hater, he's winning his fights and making an effort to promote himself. I bet the bitch ass UFC is being unreasonable

Colby is the Welterweight Tony Furguson.

Deserves the title shot the most, yet internal politics fuck him over.

They shouldn't be ranked anywhere near that high imo. Till and Askren are a combined 6-3-1 in the UFC. It's a joke that either of them are top 10.
lol what the fuck are you talking about?

darren till was 5-1 when masvidal beat him with only one career loss, with wins over cerrone and thompson. only loss to the champion tyron woodley.

Askren was undefeated for his entire career, came in a beat robbie lawler then got straightened out by masvidal. you can say they didn't deserve their ranking and that's one thing, but they weren't 6-3 in the ufc. they were 6-1. Masvidal MADE it 6-3

Usman isn’t as popular as Covington, Masvidal, or Diaz but I think he beats all 3 of them. Usman vs. any of them is the fight to make for me. It’s for the belt. Right now Usman is just a paper champion but once he beats one of them it’ll solidify him

Stupid fight, not interested. Masvidal will lose 50-45. Colby deserves the shot.

I'd love to know what "too much" is when this man (Colby) just main evented for $45/45..?

Ali using his fbi informant connections to make sure Colby doesn’t fight Snuzman

LOL So Colby is the problem.

Fuck all you guys for hating on Usman the past few days. Usman has ALWAYS signed bout agreements, Colby has a LONG history of refusing to fight Usman and Woodley on numerous occasions.

Colby would be smarter to get the belt before holding them hostage. Rule number 1 in negotiating, always negotiate from a position of strength and leverage.
