It's human nature to keep right on doing things one knows one can get away with, and on top of that continue to escalate.

If all you Sherdoggers knew you could do everything Jones has and never face any consequences, would you? And if not, why not?

Saying "no consequences" is deceiving. People act as if consequences of your actions can only be jail. That consequence typically leads people down worse paths in life, not improved behavior. Have you ever been in jail? Do you think if you went in there you'd come out a better person with better social behaviors or worse? The evidence in the field is staggering on this.

Probation fucking sucks. House arrest sucks. The terms of probation sucks. Losing your drivers license or getting a probationary one and fulfilling their requirements sucks, too. You get punished every day with all of these stipulations on your life. Not to mention living under the microscope like he does after doing this shit with the public, too. I don't know all the details of his legal judgements but I know he's intermittently done better. I think his biggest problem aside from his own personality flaws is the limitless money and notoriety.

That's why we have a CJ system of increasing punishments if you continue to demonstrate an inability to rehabilitate. Unfortunately for Jones, if he gets convicted here, this may be the one that sees him have to spend 90 days in the county jail and that can have long lasting damaging effects, too -- but at this point it may be less damaging for him than staying outside.

Antisocial personality disorder (ASPD or infrequently APD) is a personality disorder characterized by a long-term pattern of disregard for, or violation of, the rights of others as well as a difficulty sustaining long term relationships. A weak or nonexistent conscience is often apparent, as well as a history of rule-breaking that can sometimes lead to law-breaking, a tendency towards substance abuse, and impulsive and aggressive behaviour.

You should ask his therapist.

this disorder, iirc, is commonly diagnosed in prisoners and organized crime members.

- involved in several controversial situations between 2015 and 2017 and was left without the title three times due to disciplinary proceedings.

- charged in 2015 for causing a car accident and fleeing the scene

- in 2016 and 2017 he failed doping tests twice.

- In 2019, charged with inflicting bodily injuries on a waitress at a strip club in Albaquerque, New Mexico. The waitress then claimed that Jones had hit her, strangled her, touched her and kissed her on the neck.
Jones did not dispute the charge against him and was sentenced to 90 days probation.

- arrested in 2020 after he failed an alcohol test. Police found an alcoholic beverage and a black gun in it during a search of his vehicle. Jones admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol and as part of the settlement the charges of reckless handling of a firearm, possession of an open bottle of alcohol and driving without valid insurance were dismissed. He was sentenced to four days of house arrest, one year of probation and a minimum of 90 days of therapy.

-arrested in 2021 for domestic violence
DC take on this

He don't know his daddy.

What irks me the most is his fake Christian shit. If he embraced this bad boy persona and was authentic, I would have given him pass but he is such fake cunt, its sickening.

That's just who Jones is. But those qualities play a part of him being a great fighter. A reasonable person would never want to fight for money.

Well what we should all do is forget about it and let him be. It takes alot of energy to be a rockstar.

he doesn't want to grow up. he wants to live as a teenager all his life. even with having kids, and getting up there in age, it doesn't seem to bother him.

After hearing the fight's been moved to LA:

Substance abuse and a lot of experience getting away with things. We have always allowed excellent athletes to do these things.

Could be worse. Canada is letting GSP get away with this hair.

Man, hair just doesn't look good on him.

For most people -- being a Fk Up is a bad choice or for others a stage of life.

For Jones it is a lifestyle.

I wonder if his brothers ever try to put him in his place.

Same reason as the millions of others who commit these crimes.

Some combination of low intelligence, bad judgement, and too much freedom.

He’s not a narcissist. Conor McGregor = narcissistic personality disorder. Jon Jones never overly compliments himself or lashes out when his ego is tested. If that were the case he would never have showed up to the hall of fame inductions when Dana won’t pay him his $30 million for Ngannou fight.

Bones has classic Bipolar Personality Disorder. This is where a person is well mannered and morally sound one minute and then completely unpredictable and poor impulse control the next. You mix in alcohol or go off your meds and the crazy side comes out.

No one will say this, but dude is so perfect he creates problems for himself. It's a destructive phase, to compensate for his perfection.

I think it boils down to drugs, alcohol and lack of accountability. He has got away with so many things with as little as a slap on the wrist.

Ariel Helwani interviewed him after he smashed into that pregnant woman and ran away.

Jones never once showed any remorse for hurting that woman. All he did was kvetch about how he hurt his career. He clearly felt sorry for himself and believed that he was a victim.

That's as clear a sign that he's a narcissist and a sociopath as you can get.
