John Romero is about to make you his #*$%@, with Doom wads in 2018

Just bought the Standard Edition box as an early Christmas present. I showed it to my wife, who thinks we should put it in a shadow frame and hang it in the house.

This is quite interesting. I wonder what kind of reaction there would be if Capcom and Midway added more characters in Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2. It would be nice to see these vintage games get an update after all these years.

Oh shit, Im so in! Quake 1 was what I cut my teeth on for multiplayer. Been playing this crap Quake Champions just to feed my fix.

I just downloaded champions about a week ago, I haven’t found the time to play it yet though.

Officially you're supposed to own a copy of the original game so you can play the pack, but in reality, you'll be able to find a copy of the ultimate doom or final doom on any number of abandonware sites.

It'll be interesting to see what it's like. The doom modding scene is still active to this day and they've discovered tons of extra trick they can do with the original tools. It'll be cool to see what extra stuff Romero includes that wasn't in the original.

Just checked myself. I was expecting a "shipped" email today, not a "we'll probably ship it sometime in April" email. Really curious what the "production snags" were.
 
I'm going to pretend the delay is because John is still polishing the levels, and not because someone at Limited Run forgot to order cardboard.
