Khabib's old man says no one can help Conor improve wrestling in time for UFC 229

So a dude who wrestled in high school and a community college can compete with Khabib but a guy like McGregor can't?
When it comes to ground game and TDD? No he can't. And BTW for your information the fight resulted in 50-43 one sided beat up

How many top 5 or top 10 wins does he have?

Nate Diaz is literally the definition of a journeyman. He never was a top 5 guy, probably not even top 10.

He is a journeyman, deal with it.
The fck? Multiple top ten wins... he actually WAS ranked in the top five and he fought for a title ??

Lol @ deal with it

Do ur research brah.

Nathan Diaz and Conor fought at welterweight. A division neither of them were ranked in.

Al didn't get finished. People were expecting Khabib to take him out in the 1st. He competed. Clearly lost but he wasn't a walk in the park for Khabib.

Where are all these guys at now?
Wtf ... you claimed he was never ranked in the top five, probably not even ten... he was actually ranked in the top five and has multiple top ten wins and fought for a world title

I think you should just admit now that Nate is not a journeyman ... but I don't expect it lol

Giving Conor credit for outside division rankings is like giving Machida credit for beating the #1 LW in BJ Penn when they fought at LHW.
You gotta pay attention to the conversation if you want to join in braddah

Al Iaquinta was a high school and college wrestler.
People can insult Raging Al all they want, but he's a better grappler than Conor is. There's literally no statistical measure where you can argue otherwise.

And regardless, Khabib gets his TDs stuffed a lot. He went 4/13 against Barboza... But when he got the TDs Edson wasn't able to get back up.

Khabib didn't respect Al's hands the way you have to respect Mac's when engaging. He doesn't have to be the better wrestler to do better and for it to have an effect on the grappling.

If 50-43 is competing then yes, he can

Didn't get finished and stuffed TDs and landed some shots despite most people picking him to get taken out in the first 2 rounds.

Al wrestled most of his life, you giant dumb ass.

The point is Khabib is supposed to be elite. His wrestling/grappling is supposed to be elite. Would you say that Al's is elite?

Diaz is a mid tier lightweight.

You're right..he is...but the fight took place at WW, not LW...and only one of them had actual fights at WW...and it wasn't conor...so regardless of whether nate is LW or not...the fight was at 170lbs..

“I think Conor understands that he wasn’t the real champion at 155,” Abdulmanap said. “He only fought against two lightweights and one of them choked him out. When he took the belt, there were about six lightweights who were stronger than him.

“There are a lot of fighters who deserve a title shot more than Conor. For example, Poirier. He can keep a high pace, he tries to finish opponents. Poirier is the real contender.”

“Let’s put together the best wrestling coaches from Dagestan, Japan, USA, Turkey . . . even they will not be able to prepare McGregor for this fight in three months,” Abdulmanap said. “No one can help him. You can’t do that in such a short time. He needs to start studying it from the beginning. To improve his wrestling in several months, it’s impossible."

“Only a referee can protect Conor, that’s why he will be in the cage.”

Khabib's dad foresees a complete demolition of Conor.

He is not wrong.
That is exactly the same that happened when Conor fought Floyd.
You can't learn in one year what someone else studied their whole lives.

You can become decent, but never good enough to neutralize someone like Khabib.

Then again, the same can be said about Khabib and striking. Conor will probably always be ahead of him on stand up.

Khabib's camp wouldn't be the first to underestimate Conor. We know how it usually ends. I don't get it. The only thing Dana said that I ever agreed on is that Conor's most underrated fighter in the game.
