Clearly you were rooting for Justin. So try to be unbiased and step outside of that side of it and try to think of it from max Standpoint. Do you think standing right in front of just from the beginning of round 1 to play rock em sock em robots would have been the smartest thing? Wouldn’t it be smarter to implement a game plan after studying justin thoroughly with your team and figure out his deficiencies and then attack those? That’s what max and his team did. And it worked. Otherwise you are just playing a game of total chance and even then max is a better boxer than gaejw with faster hands so the same outcome probably would have happened if they did what they did at last 10 seconds. Max literally beat Justin to the punch in that scenario with the faster hands while sitting on his punch giving him more pop. But if you were expecting max to just stand in front of gaethje and not use any defense in movement then you aren’t thinking of the ways professional mma fighters fight.

Lol he said in his interview after fight his team studied Justin and notice he dipped down after throwing the overhand a lot so he was anticipating that after practicing that. And it worked. Kudos for studying an opponent.
