Media Mexico's next UFC Champ fights on Saturday. Daniel Zellhuber

He probably performed under the expectations, but I didn't think he looked all that bad -- Ogden is a pretty tough dude. I feel that the experience in this fight will benefit Zellhuber.

Not like he got completely outclassed but Ogden was too big a step up for the kid tonight

Ogden is very complete, a grappling specialist but with really sound striking, and he’s been grinding in the gym for 20 years.
Agreed -- I don't know that people appreciate how solid Ogden is. He lost his first UFC fight, but it was a close fight and mostly due to poor fight IQ. Zellhuber didn't do bad at all in my opinion; just ran into a dude that is better schooled.

I think Zellhuber will do fine despite this loss. Seems more like a case of debut jitters than lack of talent or skill.

155? Great another manlet.
Yeah, sure a 6'1" athlete that must weight about 180 pounds with a body fat percentage that should be about 12% is a manlet, everyday Sherdog becomes more stupid.

Daniel Zellhuber is from Mexico City, 12-0 only 23 years old, strong chin, good talent, 82% finish rate, 7 KO's and a shit ton of potential. Also hes an unusually tall 6"1 Mexican that will be a huge lightweight. The Goof sees something in him and I do too. He can definitely make it far at lightweight and maybe even become champ.

The UFC just released a mini doc in lead up to Daniels fight on Saturday

Do you think this Mexican fighter has championship potential?

No, I think there's a bunch of guys who come through with good striking these days, but more often than not, they have defensive deficiencies and look lost on the ground.

For me, he will be an easy fade going forward (at least when he reaches the top 25).

Effective offence often blinds people.
