NFL Lineman: "I could be a UFC champ and beat Stipe"

Only hardcore NFL fans would have the slightest clue as to who Damon Harrison is. A level star, no.

Also he could never make 265 ever in his life. Dude weighs 340
Stipe beats his fat ass

This is old.

Being an A-level athlete means jack shit if you can't take a punch, nor enjoy the lifestyle of being a fighter.

This dude knows nothing.

Harrison is right, but this would never happen unless he wanted to make the peanuts that Stipe makes.

There are a lot of guys in other sports that could potentially be very good at MMA obviously. Doesnt mean simply participating in that sport at a high level automatically means you could be a UFC champ level fighter if you wanted to though. Plus that dude wouldnt even be able to make the weight and would most likely gas like a motherfucker in a drawn out fight.

randy and lesnar both NCAA d1 wrestlers.

Randy had 24 fights worth of experience and 10 years worth of MMA experience on top of that when he fought lesnar

lesnar only had ONE YEAR of MMA training.

one fucking year. and he hadn't wrestled competitively in 7 years. his last title was in 2000.

he started MMA in 2007

it all boils down to lesnar being a B level athlete and Randy a C

No. Randy Couture was a B level athlete for sure, but he was a natural LHW fighter. He only moved up to HW because he couldn't beat Chuck Liddel. Lesnar was probably an A level athlete, and also weighed 300 pounds. It was well documented that he cut ~30 pounds to make the 265 HW limit.

Lesnar beat Couture because of 1) better athletic genetics and 2) being much, much bigger. Couture weighed in at like 219 pounds for their fight... That means Lesnar had an 80 pound (!!!) weight advantage in that fight.

These guys live in a world of make believe.

There is no doubt they are incredible athletes, and would have serious potential in MMA....

But if you think for 1 second they can train for a few years, with no experience and challenge Stipe? They're sadly mistaken. If you're not use to fighting at this level? No matter how talented you are, you need lots of time to acclimate yourself.

They have no idea what they're getting into.

yeah like 20 years ago. like that matters. randy had been fighting all throughout Lesnar's career. he hadn't wrestled in AGES when he started training MMA.

randy was an NCAA d1 wrestler too btw.

AND an accomplished MMAist,

lesnar is just a superior athlete.. thats why he won

hes only like B level though. imagine what an A level would do

He was a superior athlete who was also an amazing wrestler.

If you truly think an american football player with a bit of training would beat Stipe stop watching this sport. You clearly don't understand it.

The guy is not an A level athlete. Hes an NFL Lineman.

Ball play is not fighting.

He can make it easily, do you have any idea how much these guys eat to be that big. They wake up in the middle of the night to eat and then go back to sleep.

le jus.

NFL lineman. From tuf 10 he has like 60s gas tank, then Stipe would destroy him.

Shit Cyril Asker could put down his French shit food and beat this guy's bitch ass.

brock lesnar beat randy couture after only having 3 fights.

and hes not even A level
As much as I hate Lesnar, he was a legendary NCAA division 1 wrestler who outweighed Randy Couture by 45 pounds. Some dude who runs around for a living in shoulder pads and a motorcycle helmet hardly musters the same kind of threat.

A level athlete my ass. Dudes a blob.

John Kruk said “I’m not an athlete. I’m a baseball player”

This guy is a lineman
