Nah I wanna see him box more. Gonna be hard to get a fight with a big name though. The top guys aren't exactly eager to fight each other, and Ngannou has proven he's a legit threat. Maybe he'll fight a lesser known guy as a tune up fight. Could be a risky thing though.

I'd much rather see Francis continue to box and improve. Never say never, but we kinda already know that he'll most probably run through anyone the PFL has to offer. There's so many fantastic fights for him in boxing, and huge monster purses after this. Francis is about to make real bank in the future.

I know. All he's gonna get in PFL is way past prime JDS. How many UFC HWs wish they could go over there for a $2 million payday? What happens when a HW title contender gets his 150,000 to challenge Aspinall/Pav and he looks over at some schlub getting 2 million in the PFL?

Wilder or Ruiz will take the fight for the pay day. Ngannou has earned his credibility. The real question is does he ever fight MMA again? Is he going to do PFL when he can make more in boxing?

If he wants PFL to grow, thats where his next fight must be. Riding the high of a close fight with Fury is one hell of a story to sell a PPV if they can find him a big name. Would be instant cha-ching for PFL.

Boxers (well paid ones) wont come to MMA, they make more and have more chances to win in their own sport, stop that.

Wilder would be my pick, AJ could be, he might have problems with Ngannou speed and power but he could get on his bike and behind his jab all night like he safely boxed Andy Ruiz Jr. in the rematch, but still, those are the two most viable/money options in boxing for him imo, the rematch could happen later specially cause Fury has a fight signed already.

Only way I see Francis getting back into mma is if Jones retires gets out of his contract and goes to PFL but that’s super unlikely as Jones will likely have a sunset clause as he just signed a 7 fight contract

I hope he comes back to MMA but its probably not happening now. Its sad the UFC (and probably the sport as a whole) has lost him. For me Ngannou vs Jones and/or the Pav/Aspinall winner and maybe a Gane rematch would have all been far more interesting than anything he can do in boxing.
