Ocasio-Cortez says people keep mistaking her for a Capitol Hill intern (LOL!)

She said it precisely for political reasons. Her side would rally to her defense and point fingers at the old and stale Washington circle, and others will mock her which will only add up to the people running to her defense. Everything these people do is calculated to manipulate us. Everything.

You guys think I am some extreme Trump hater (because I hate Trump extremely) but I am still glad he got in over Hilary.

What the US is under going (and Canada too) is a necessary rejection of the status quo two party system. People are not voting in numbers greater than people voting because the status quo two party system holds no interest for them. Vote right or left and you just one side of the other coin, forever bloating gov't and debt.

Obama was a rebellious vote for change but he failed to deliver. Trump was to be a wrecking ball of change and while he is wrecking the Republican party status quo he is doing no good for the country. But I'll take him wrecking the status quo Republican party and forcing it to change when he is gone. Trudeau in Canada was a vote for change and he is proving to be the worst kind of status quo crony.

So it is necessary for the newer politicians being pushed because they represent change to not relient simply to win elections as all that have come before them have done as that just maintains the status quo.

People think the 'deep state' is some malicious evil entity. It is not. It is the entrenched bureaucracies of Military, Health and Pharma, Agriculture, Prison, etc, etc that don't want much change in the status quo that can disrupt their job security or budgets and they can make any politician with a short 4 year terms life miserable if they try to change the status quo.

If the Dem's come together with a status quo face and agenda I do hope Trump trounces them again. And then I will get back to hating Trump for the reprobate he is.
 
Cortez just made a pretty good joke in response to Sarah Palin coming out of whatever hole she's been in to attack her. It's nice to see that she's not going to let some embarrassment like Palin try to bully her.

She quoted an Aventura song to mock Fox News for obsessing over her (after doing a segment about her shoes). I appreciate her confidence and willingness to engage with all these hacks who constantly attack her for absurd reasons. She has a way of making them seem kind of pathetic.

This kind of thing exposes how ignorant people are. I understand you've probably never done a photo shoot, but I assume you've at least been part of a wedding? Or attended prom?

This is like using a picture from a high school prom to claim all of the students purchased expensive tuxedos. You guys really need to step away from the memes for a while and think for yourself.

The funny part is that it would not be that difficult to criticize her policies.

But instead the criticism focuses on her clothes, her intelligence, and her face.

There’s a certain comedic element to she guevara wearing those clothes even if they aren’t hers. Also let’s not pretend like she won’t be going on some shopping sprees soon with dat 100k capitalism will provide her

She should spend her money however she wants, she is earning it through perfectly fair means.

I think people are exaggerating her political stances do have a reason to make some pretty silly attacks. They did the same thing with Bernie Sanders (how DARE he have a vacation home?!).

I have quite a bit of experience in the DC area, and I can tell you that her $174,000 per year salary is not going to take her as far as some of you think. That will absolutely not provide a lavish lifestyle in that city, or anything remotely approaching lavish.

Well yes him too, I just always find it funny when the most anti-capitalist people have the best that capitalism can offer. I mean it’s nothing new, but I can still find it funny. Relax I’m not looking to argue
