Patrick Brown - Ontario PC Leader- Accused of Sexual Misconduct

I don't even find the allegations that bad.

First one, he meets a girl at a bar, invites her to his house, then to his room, which she goes. Then at some point pulls out his dick and says to suck it, which she then obliges. Sounds like consensual sex to me?

Second one he invites a girl to his room, which she goes, then he starts kissing her. She says she has a boyfriend and wants to be taken home, he then stops and drives her home. Sounds like he just swung and missed.
They were teenagers that worked for him. He was a politician in his 30s. He's not accused of rape, just sexual misconduct.

He should have ridden it out for a couple of weeks and waited to see if it would die down , people are getting tired of these , Aziz Ansari and James Franco seemed to have survived relatively unscathed
Politics is a different animal.

I'm not even sure what the definition of sexual misconduct is these days but im pretty sure it's so broad that all of us could be accused of it for something pretty benign we've done.

Either way, his whole senior staff quit on him and the PC's dropped him pretty quickly. Not sure if that has to do with how seriously they take the allegations or a political move to show voters that they have zero tolerance....on allegations.

Either way, I'd like to see what more comes of this and the evidence brought forth.

Wynne is still going to lose, though. I just hope to Odin I don't have to live with an NDP government in my life time.

Interestingly, she had no problems with taking the job that was offered to her based completely on his attraction to her. Nor of taking a job with again after it happened.

So basically she used him for her career and then turned around and stabbed him in the back years later.

Much more admirable. No wonder she's hiding her face.

I'm disgusted. Apparently no one is surprised from his inner circle... How can we put forth a scumbag Leader like This?

They will quickly put forth a woman who will destroy that lesbian whore Wynne
I doubt it. Get ready for 4 years of whorevath's NDP.

I've lived through one before. The writing is on the wall for a second. No one is voting for Orville Redenbacher again, and this little Toronto Star hit job has done it's damage. Get ready for it. 4 years of socialist bullshit.

Lol @ driving the second girl back to her parents' place.

I felt weird doing that in my 20s.

Once again, Pence looks like the smartest man in politics

Looks like we're stuck with Wynne and her partners in crime for another few years.

So Patrick Brown resigns over allegations and ts turns this into a thread to attack Wynne?

Yea for people in Ontario any discussion of provincial politics will naturally revolve around Wynne and her crooked regime.
I currently live in Ontario and find these allegations against Patrick Brown to be unrelated to Kathleen Wynne.

I wouldn't be so sure. Wynne is so unpopular, I think a blind monkey could beat her at this point. If the Conservatives can get another leader in there quick, I don't think the votes will go anywhere.

Just saw this. I think this is gonna be a pretty ugly election. I don't really like anything about Brown but for fucks sake we need to get the Liberals out of there. If they win again this will be me:

As an aside, I thought Brown was politically very interesting as he strayed from relegious dogma and was fairly progressive and was an interesting speaker. He was a nerd and everyone in Barrie has stories about what a creep he is. I would have voted for him over Wynne. I have been reading some pieces saying this actually puts PC in a good place because Brown had a fracturing effect on most of the party.

Brown was the leader of the opposition party and was going to be running for premier in less than 6 months. It would be utterly bizarre if a conversation about his downfall didn't veer into the territory of the present premier and government, who are massively unpopular. Especially since there isn't a whole heck of a lot to discuss regarding these allegations themselves. It would be like jumping into a thread about Hillary's emails in the summer of 2016 and acting surprised that people are criticizing Trump.

Don't be so sure. Wynne was really unpopular in 2014 and the bitch won a majority. Now she can point to the minimum wage increase and her "brave stand" against Timmies, and she can also point out that the Conservatives are old white men who didn't do anything when they heard that Brown was a perv thanks to this story. I'm not counting that crooked old cunt out of this race. I agree that a new leader can beat her but this is a really quick turnaround.

Brown is accused of sexual misconduct. Wynne is a terrible leader. They are separate threads. The Mcguinty administration was unpopular as well but also won elections. This is like derailing your own thread in the opening post.

This is unfortunately true.

This is a really unpleasant statement, in that you feel the need to call out her sexuality, then use a derogatory term based on her being a woman to hammer home your dislike.

Boo boo you snowflake. She's a piece of shit who fucked her kids up by brining her cunt lover into her marriage

It's not exactly like we get a lot of threads on here about Ontario provincial politics, so on one of the few ones it seems several posters from Ontario decided to take the opportunity to express their displeasure with the Wynne government. I really don't get why this is so controversial to you.
