My point is that threads like this don't provide anything constructive to the conversation.

Most caring adults feel for children that are hurt or ridiculed and let's be honest, anyone over 40 years old knew an adult that would, if provided an opportunity, beat the shit out of a bully on behalf of a persecuted kid.

This kid's family appears to be a piece of shit. But, it didn't stop me from tearing up a bit when I watched the video. And yes, my natural instinct was "if the world was different, I'd love to take a long twitch to the ass of the kids that are hurting this child." That has nothing to do with whether I'm a liberal, a conservative, a moderate or anything else.

Only an utter idiot would assign politics to something like parental instincts and bullying. I believe that all mentally healthy adults abhor bullying and want to protect the victims.

I just see this strange trend in our society where people criticize political opponents for doing the same exact shit that they do themselves. Yes, both statistics are true, but basing actions on likelihood based on statistics, guarantees that you are wrong some of the time, which is why prejudice is logically flawed.

I guess then one should factor in the consequences associated with their presumptive position. In terms of acts of violence, it's far more reasonable to accept being wrong on occasion in order to be right when you need to be. Other things not so much.
