Reforming the Fat Slob (strength, weightloss, boxing)

So I hurt my shoulder last night at wrestling. Got stuck in a nasty chicken wing and it flared up the old shoulder injury. As a result today's performance was less than stellar, but I still feel pretty decent about it. I'm definitely going to have to lay off pressing and wrestling for probably two weeks though because I don't want it to affect by boxing performance.

Shoulder was feeling pretty good so I decided to go for some presses. After 145x3 it wasn't feeling so great. As soon as I tried 160, I knew it was too much and racked it.

Hit some nice PRs today. I felt exhausted by the time I got to the 405 pull, but still managed to pull it 5 times for a 10lb PR for 5 reps. The 225x10 was a 20lb increase at 10 reps. Ready for sleep tonight.

Felt left shoulder slip out of socket on a sloppy hook in the first round of sparring. It was hurting so I only did three rounds on the heavy bag. Felt good to actually get three rounds in sparring today.

I had boxing practice on the 24th and 25th but forgot to log those workouts.


First amateur fight was last night. I lost a third round decision. I feel like I performed up to my abilities but got outclassed.
