basically victim blaming, similar to the way attorneys use the "she shouldn't have dressed so sexy" or "she shouldn't have been walking there by herself"---- if she didn't want to get raped. Trump is a "blameless person", he is the type of person that even if he does something morally corrupt at best it's because of someone else's actions or the circumstances. Trump as a businessman is the reason for the adage "buyer beware".

His frustration likely stems from his presidency being overshadowed by Russian spooks, while the rest of the world questioning us benefits from a russian friendship more than we do.

Not to mention that his whole deal is coming into any negotiation/discussion etc way over the top to make it easier to meet in the middle.

No one is condemning the notion of having better relations. The problem is that Trump's predecessors all tried to work with Putin as well, all with terrible results, they ALL failed. Putin is a person that takes advantage of situations, he is plain and simple a former KGB agent turned organized criminal, sadly he has done it under the guise of patriotism and nationalism.
At some point you just have to realize and accept that someone is exploitive, abusive and a user, in a situation like this you need to contain that person, yeah you can be cordial but much like having a pet venomous snake you don't treat it with the same casual and friendly attitude you would a more benign pet like a non-venomous snake or dog. It's like a person in an abusive relationship, would you support a woman that is trying to work out her relationship with Chris Brown or Ike Turner, or would you tell her "stop being a dumbass punching bag"?

Some people just want to piss all over Trump and I understand your frustration with that, but somethings he is doing is at best pissing up a rope, his bromance with Putin is one such instance.
