Stop the scar tissue excuse

Both are true, he blocks with his face thereby creating scar tissue which gets progressively worse. Nasty cycle it might be about time to hang them up, it's not like he's going to learn to block or Bob and weave at this stage of his career.
More or less this.
But people need to realize that genetics plays a big factor as well.
Look at Anderson SIlva. He took some serious hit throughout his career, but I don't recall him ever bleeding.

It is not only one factor. It's a combination.

But once the cycle starts (and in Nate's case, his poor defense - due to his style of fight) just accelerated this cycle. His long career and the battles he's been in don't help.

But you also gotta be amazed that this does not faze him the least, and he keeps coming at you.

But it is though. He's always bloodied up in his fights, is always cut. He also takes a lot of damage in his fights but somehow he manages to pull it off more often than just sometimes. The idiotic doctor should have let it go, and maybe take a look at the cut in the middle of 4th round.

.. but the scar tissue is why he bleeds so easily in the same place every fight. this is a REAL thing. ask Wand..

Obvious troll is obvious

your thread is the one that reads like a troll post. maybe "good" defense is a bit much but its much less of a hyperbole than no defense. Nate rolls very well with punches and has good parries. Better than a lot of guys.

If he had good defense he wouldn't have the scar tissue to begin with, he also wouldn't get bloodied up nearly as much as he does now

what if his defense improved AFTER he got the scar tissue? you actually don't start your MMA career with defensive skills, you know? they take even take longer than offensive skills because they require more experience.

Once you have the scar tissue it's going to open up easily, and no matter how good your defense is, you get hit in fights.

That said, Jorge absolutely lit him the fuck up. Scar tissue isn't an "excuse" but it's part of the reason. I don't think scar tissue has anything to do whether the fight should be stopped or not though, so it's not even important.

scar tissue actually makes your skin tougher

diaz is a bleeder though, and i knew mas was gonna cut him up

he didnt give his last cut (against pettis) enough time to heal imo

The scar tissue excuse was bullshit. He got sliced with a mean elbow and then he got kicked in the face. He would have been busted open, regardless.

Yep, and the scar tissue would only be worse in a rematch.

Stop saying Nate Diaz's scar tissue is the reason he looks so fucked up all the time.

The reason he looks fucked up all the time is that he has no defense and he in fact gets fucked up.

Even in his McGregor win.

All of this.

All the scar tissue shows there's been a problem with his defense for a long time

Not even a McGregor fan anymore, but jeez you guys need more time to cope with the fact he tapped than McGregor himself...

The only reason Conor is still in the UFC is his big mouth and the fanbase he has because of it
