Don't worry you always have that turd Howard Zinn.
I’m simply pointing out that the liberals started all this erasing history shit, now they are crying when the same tool is used in a way they don’t like.
Really it’s just another example of liberals thinking they should have freedoms that don’t extend to the other side of the aisle. Seems pretty unamerican to me.
I don’t give a fuck about statues and I don’t give a single flying fuck if Hillary Clinton is erased from textbooks, I just laugh my ass off at the hipocracy of it all. Both of these things are things that have been done by evil forces of the past and people just seem so excited to not only defend the actions but do them again.
So you think that the purpose of statues are to be educational tools?
I guess we really erased Hitler from history then, as I don't see many people keeping statues of him around.
I just knew some righties will try to justify keeping the Confederate statues because of this case.
As @Kafir-kun says , it is categorically NOT the same. Because no liberal is trying to excise Confederate history from books. Do you understand the difference between lionizing historical figures with statues and revising History books to exclude history one doesn't like. There aren't any statues of Goebells or Hitler in Germany (in public) but both men are well covered in their history books.
Why didn't any rightwinger have an issue with US troops pulling down Saddam's statue?
Would any rightwinger have an issue with Muslim Americans putting up a statue of Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi or Osama Bin Laden ?
Comparison is totally specious. What are examples of the progressive ideals being pushed? Acceptance of LGBT orientation? The comparison is indeed slightly tortured, but also totally unnecessary. There is no shortage of ideological progressivism pushed on US school children, of course.
You’ll cede that point?
Burden of proof, Tejas style. yee haw.Prove he wasn't, oh yeah you can't.

Because they don’t want to encourage empathy or “SJW” do-gooding.
In the evangelical mind, Christianity means accepting Jesus as your savior and then doing absolutely nothing to try to imitate him.
Because he argued for strong government and that requires *gasp* paying taxes. GOP’s primary function is an antitax lobby for the wealthy and their corporations.
They missed the the “Render unto Caesar” bit, for sure.
Pretty absurd, I read about this earlier. Especially removing Keller.
As a general you, of course. My analogy is no more misguided than the one you used regarding Hitler statues. In my eyes, there is no difference between editing out textbooks or removing historical monuments, it's all bluenose bullshit. No hyperbole, but at the rate we are going, we are going to become nothing but a nation of soft, useless pussies that cannot even cope with a difference of opinion without going apeshit within a generation, unless this one turns it around (and thank God they seem to be rejecting this everything offends me garbage we are witnessing).Yes, but that point seems backwards to the point you made about rewriting history.
Are you using "you" as referring to me, or the general you. If you're referring to me that's pretty pointless as I haven't stated any desire to do anything to any statues. If it's the general you then it's incorrect as some people certainly have legal power to decide such matters.
I haven't complained about anything so either you're not reading my posts or confusing me with someone else.
Took him 40 years to cross ~250 miles.Moses led workers out of Egypt
I’ll tkae the other groups first if you had a gun to my head and made me pickMaybe someday it will be "Abrahamic values" and Muslims will be retroactively welcomed to exclude Hindus and Buddhists.
I’m arguing against the kind of Christians who conflate Christianity with GOP policy and control Texas politics— so all of the above in this case.Apparently I read a different Bible and know different Christians than you've met.
Are you arguing against Christians, GOP, or Texas officials? None of what you posted relates to my statement that his influence on the founders (not the gop) is a bit over stated.
Hobbes also called for govt (monarch) to control the church. Like I said he pales in comparison to Locke.
Clinton is bigger and more influential than Moses ever was
Rightwing Christians are the most vocal about advertising and pushing Christianity, but they are opposed to government welfare programs and assistance to people in need. If Jesus actually showed up today, these Christians will attack him as an Anti-American Marxist Socialist Community Organizer.
Imo the internet is not and should not be a replacement for text books, unless textbooks get so bad that their garbage and nonsense outdoes the turbulent fuckery of crowdsourced encyclopedias and politically biased blogs.Meh. I don't see any reason Hillary Clinton would be included in history books more than any other secretary of state or failed presidential candidate. Helen Keller also isn't exactly a major part of history. They should have kept Hobbes in, but they do kind of have to be selective since textbooks are not necessarily an in-depth look at all of history. The internet is a lot more comprehensive than textbooks can be.
