I mean.. They weren’t there to see Topuria. It’s very cool, and all. And the more people in Spain that know his name the better. He can get some endorsement deals probably. Like Weili got big commercial deals in China.

But that wasn’t about Topuria. I wouldn’t read too much into it at this point. All kinds of UFC champions have thrown out the first pitch, etc. Like Stipe in Cleveland. It was a big deal at the time. But did any Cleveland Indians, or Browns fans actually start watching the UFC because of Stipe? Probably not too many.

With Topuria it’s a whole country of approximately 48M people. So it’s definitely a good thing. If he plays it right, he can get paid.
