Two fights left for UFC 300

What do we think they are going to be? One’s obviously the main event, will there be another title fight besides that? My prediction is Alex vs Izzy 3 and probably Edward’s vs Belal 2.

But that’s 4 title fights. Including the BMF. If those went to decisions. It would probably suck beyond belief.

The ME makes 3 title fights. Including the BMF.

I think they may leave a slot or two open. They aren’t limited to 12 fights. They could make 15. So hold out one slot just in case something really cool pops up from wherever.

If it's not on the main card then it will be the prelim 'feature bout'. But I would wager it will be on the main card.

Holm, quite hilariously, is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. And they would have paid big money (by U Fight Cheap standards) to sign up this other woman. They aren't going to bury it on the early prelims, even though they should.

True but I don't see a world where they'd put Oliveira Arman or Max Gaethje on the prelims. Could definitely see them making the Grasso Shev fight though.

2-0 in Kickboxing. Close decision in the 1st, Izzy was winning the 2nd before the KO.
1-1 in MMA. Both by KO.
They're stand-up specialists in a sport of 'well-rounders.'

And there's pure respect between the both of them.
Nothing personal. A bit of dislike between of two, but personally liking your opponent can weaken you.

A final fight would settle it.

My money would be on Periera. Izzy is already 0-1 @ 205 and he isn't as fast with the extra weight, and I don't think he's much stronger. Its just wasted weight on him.
I don't think Alex is much bigger in the octagon at 205 than 185, its just 20 pounds he doesn't have to cut.

Could be 3 or 4 more. 12 is a ppv minimum, 13 or 14 are usually booked so that if a fight or 2 fall off during fight week they aren't left @ 10. 298 is finalized and has 13. 297 ended with 12 but had 14 initially with Jan/Rakic & Ulberg/Reyes falling off.

All that said, Izzy vs DDP/Khamzat/Strickland 2 will headline. And then they'll add a cpl more fun fights featuring fan favorites; Lewis/Romanov & Landwher/Swanson. Khamzat/Cannonier would be great if Izzy/DDP gets made but that feels greedy.

Use Pereira & Pantoja for Brazil, then Aspinall & Leon for UK

They are too lazy to put any effort into card positioning these days. You see decent fights randomly on the early prelims and fights nobody gives a fuck about on main cards all the time now.

They won't stop to think that this fight will probably give everyone AIDS from the overwhelming boredom.
