Social Very Old Accounts - Are any of the ancients still around?

Anyone from before 2007 probably took seminars with Shamrock and Don Frye.

Lol I went to a Ken Shamrock seminar in 2004 and he picked me to demonstrate a jumping leglock entry on. I distinctly remember him saying, "This is the entry I did on Don Frye in Pride." So I was swinging from Ken's nuts for the next few months and when he fought on the TUF finale card a few months later, I was talking him up to all my noob buddies. They were very impressed with Griffin/Bonnar but I was like, "yeah, yeah, these guys are cans. Wait till you see Ken Shamrock in the next fight." Then he comes out, slips on a banana peel and gets steamrolled by Ace.

Started lurking here around 2002. Pretty sure I made an account around 2005/6 but forgot the password. Mostly lurked with this one until around 2014.

i remember theartoffighting from way back in the day. he had an 01' account. haven't seen that guy since like 09'.

I think a mod banned him because of his compulsive post editing. I wasn’t aware that that was an infraction, so whoever said that back in the day might have been full of shit.

I mean guys with a 2001 account date. it's very rare that i see one around. seen some 2002s and 2003s, but 2001s....outside of @Drunken Meat Fist i don't see that many.

So historically I think Drunken Meat Fist is actually the earliest date anyone could have an account. I remember seeing it posted a long time ago that there was an older version of the forum that moved over to a new program or changed site hosts or something on that date his account was created. So the oldest possible account you will see is Dec 2001.

My first account (2006) was banned in 2008 for posting bare ass pics in the OT. This account was carded twice for posting ass floss pics. Basically every av I have now would have gotten me carded back in the day.

The mods back then were quick with the banhammer. The site used to get a shitload of traffic though and had a lot of infractions to deal with

Oh man there used to be this fighter on here that everyone would troll. I think his name was Jason Drake or something like that. He got the nickname “lil’rampage” I think because he trained with Quinton Jackson.

I actually kind of liked the dude, but he was a little retarded. He had a big fight at one point where he got knocked out and everyone was shopping him and using it as their avatars for a little while. Kinda fucked up but also a little funny

Furious Angels and The Third Man we’re so good

i still got Furious angels saved on some computer. it's probably like 144p and looks like shit, but was amazing at the time.

I lurk. Mainly at the ”You laugh, you lose-threads”. Haven’t watched mma since Pride got cancelled, though I still check to see who the current champs are.

In my previous life, we used to have a blast in the OT. Back from 06-11 or so. I think I may have had an 05 start. There were lots of e suicides, porn bombers, meltdowns, flame wars. We had a few loose women posting that were fun. But people got banned a lot easier then as well.

OT used to be amazing, but what made it amazing was that the dudes were pretty nutty. of course they don't last.
sadly now the ot is pretty dead. i still hope for a revival, it's not the first time it went into hibernation. i used to post nowhere else but there for like 6 years.

Groundhog Expert is the only Sherdog-made thing i heard about outside of sherdog. it was probably some sherdog member, but he used it in some other unrelated forum (like IT advice) and nobody knew what he was talking about.
