What separates the men from the boys?

Men are able to close on some ass in the produce section .

Boys..........not so much.
 
What age? Before you even answer I don't think age is right, because I know a lot of emotionally immature adults.
Well law can look at men and boys differently, particularly when it comes to sentencing and what they are tried for.

But the phrase depends on the context. I've heard it most often said in regards to a sporting competition, where one side is much more skilled than the other.
 
Accountability and shouldering responsibility.

The reason we colloquially say this act is "man up" for a reason. We also call grown adult who doesn't have this trait "man child" for a reason.
