I don't think Obama did that much to worsen things in that regard outside of the people already looking for an excuse to hate. But assuming he did, did Trump's xenophobic fearmongering during his campaign and beyond not make it worse? If it's all Obama's fault, why is it continuing to rise?

I don't see how this excuses Trump in any way. All presidents are a reactionary byproduct of the president who came before them. Obama was far, far, far from perfect, but pinning all race relations on him today is asinine.

The racist guy is obviously a piece of shit. But He was already kicked out of the bar and in a truck. The person who was shot KNEW the person had a gun, and STILL went outside to confront him. It does not get much more stupid as shit than that.

He was not killed defending his friend from a racist attack. He was killed, confronting someone with a gun, after a racist slur was said by a drunk racist, who was then kicked out of a bar.

How about call the cops for unlawful discharge of a firearm, then try to throw in the racial slur context, and get them to add a hate crime charge. Easy enough.

Before I even scrolled down and seen this I kinda had a feeling it went something like this. Either way, one thing I've learned over the years is you don't stick your nose in other people's business or where it doesn't belong. You never know who you're fucking with or what they're capable of doing, I've seen some dudes get shit pumped over drug money etc and all you really can do is turn the other way cause is none of your business.

Sounds like the guy went from doing the right thing to actually getting what was coming to him. I have no sympathy for people who try to be a hero and wind up a zero, dead in the ground, over fucking words of all things.
