Who is your pick for ‘best that never was’?

Brandon Vera vacated his One's belt (just don't look at his record, that's an issue) to finally go back to UFC and be the two division champ we deserve.

So, you think when Barnett was fighting it wasn't epidemic because if not Vitor and Kerr would like a word with you.
but he was the one who was using so much that he failed the easy tests multiple times.

Sokoudjou. The back to back wins against Nogueira and Arona were SHOCKING.

It is how much but just watching the fucking calendar so you are clear at the fight. They weren't and still don't do random testing. That is why Vitor was glowing like the freaking sun and still testing clean at the fight.

yes but he pushed it to the limit to get the maximum amount of effect while others played it safer and stopped before time.

Yes, when you have been hardcore doping for 6 months, a few days makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE.

All the athletes that have failed day of event steroid tests were risking it because it doesn't offer any benefit

He's close to it just fell short on his attempt. With a different opponent or in another weight class it's still possible.
No it isn't. Masvidal isn't championship caliber. Never has been, never will be

They don't know how long it take to piss clan or just too lazy. Tyler Hamilton ,who rode with Lance Armstrong, wrote a book describing what you need to do to beat the test. It isn't anything more magical than avoiding some stuff that takes too long to clear and following a calendar. MMA might not have that knowlege because the testing is shit.

Josh Thomson. All freakin' day! He had absolutely everything going for him in every aspect of fighting. When he was at his best, he tooled up Giblert standing to win the Strikeforce strap. At his worst, he got ragdolled by Kawajiri. At his absolute worst, he threw a blind backfist at a standup monster...

He was so much better than that.

Philip Miller never looked like a world beater, great record though.

Ricco Rodriguez is my pick

he beat Jake Shields in his 2nd fight that was the 1st fight in a 4 man 1 nigh tourney. that sounds pretty "world beater" to me, seeing how Jake Shields career went.
