Anime and Manga v39

Don't get your hopes up too high. I tried it last year and didn't think much of it.

Yeah so far. I like the Art but a bit exposition heavy and I don't like the Main characters as much as in HSDK.

Late, but started watching Rage of Bahamut: Genesis. I feel so stupid and bad that its taken so fucking long since it's so awesome.

Looks like Amazon Prime just got a huge amount of Anime available to stream as they got rid of Anime Strike

Devilman Crybaby on Netflix

Anime made by a crazy person.

Hulu also has an amazing selection for those interested including OPM and Hero Academia.

Devilman Crybaby on Netflix starts off like it's an Acid Trip Anime that relies on sex and violence but actually improves as it goes on. It is pretty dark , which makes it more in line with the Original Manga as opposed to the 1970 anime adaptation.

This is perhaps the best description I saw about it

While DEVILMAN: crybaby starts out as a somewhat silly, hyper-sexualized romp through perversion and, basically, pornography, I was impressed with how the series matures over the course of its 10 episodes. Themes progress from teenage wet dreams, to a painful coming-of-age tale, to political satire, depictions of man’s inhumanity to man, and a skewering takedown of men and women masquerading as moral superiors

I didn't know there was the 70's anime just knew about the 2 OVAs from 87/90 and I enjoyed those OVAs.

The 70s Anime loosely adapts the Manga. The Manga has a pretty Dark and Dour ending . Worth a read or looking up a summary. The 70s Anime has a more happily ever after vibe.

So the manga is more in line with animes like Zetman or Towa no Quon

RE: ToG
I'm curious to see what comes of that carving that looks like Rak.

Anything I should be looking for in the Winter 2018 lineup?

Some ones that I have written down to check out are

Darling in the Frankxx
Beatless
Kokkoku

I'll come back and post my thoughts on the ones listed above after a few episodes have aired.
