This event should go forward as the Governor of Florida has basically made sure everyone knew he would whore out the state for anything for money that he can. With Disney World closed down and tourism money not flowing in, the state is going to need a slice of any pie they can get hold of to not be in dire straits later this year.

I would say that the only way future events get shut down is if someone contracts it in travelling to or from there, but this already happened with the WWE and they are still going forward with events. Money talks and I'm honestly surprised Nevada didnt do the same given the hit they are taking from empty casinos and heavily reduced tourism.
 
Intellectually, I think DeSantis is an absolute moron for opening Florida up so soon & I believe that it could turn out to be a disaster resulting in mass casualties. Therefore, I don't want to support anything that he does.
But, on the other hand, I really want to see this fight card take place so I'm hoping that he's right & that it's not too soon. I hope that the people of the state are careful & that they still follow safety protocols to prevent Florida from turning into another New York or New Jersey. But, unfortunately, I think that DeSantis is going to become example #2 of what not to do during a pandemic. With Trump, of course, being #1.

I want so badly to be dead wrong. I think it's stupid as hell to bullrush forward but on the flip side if the card happens on May 9th it might be the most excited I'll ever be for a card.

I'm guessing you are against the 2nd amendment. You are also coming out against the 1st and 10th. Those may not be important to you but many died for those rights. There is no 1st amendment without a second amendment.
