would you say the early 2000s had better fighters?

I remember UFC from 2008-2012 with GSP, Silva, Jones, Aldo, Lesnar, Velasquez, JDS, Rockhold, Weidman, etc. etc. I just seemed like every division was STACKED. Nowadays I don't know half the names in the top 10 of each division because they keep changing.

    Media pavlovich doing bench press

I mean, he's literally 4-5 inches off his chest, so it's not bench pressing. That's the equivalent of doing quart squats basically.

Most important strength and conditioning exercises for fighters

I think the best routine is one where you: 1) Enjoy it 2) Will remain consistent 3) Don't get injured What I found worked best for me is 7 days per week, with 3 days of strength and 4 days of conditonning. Day 1) Press / Squat / Pullups Day 2) Echo Bike Day 3) Press / Deadlift / Pullups Day 4)...

GOAT Rankings. Just our individual Sher-expert opinions. March Update.

Not sure why Silva and Jones are mentioned. They're great to watch, I enjoy their fights and I certainly don't ''hate'' them. In any pro sport, if you piss hot, your achievements are void. In terms of career from A to Z, the #1 spot undeniably goes to GSP. No one had a career close to his...

The reason why there is an endless GOAT debate...

In football for example, if you win 3 razorthin superbowls vs winning 2 dominant ones, you're still 3-2. MMA fanboys truly are hipsters. It's not a phenomenon that is observed elsewhere.

The reason why there is an endless GOAT debate...

You're guilty of A, B and E. I invite you remove emotions and have a cold look at it. You appear to be triggered. I am sorry my objective analysis has angered you. Fight Matrix is obviously not 100% accurate, it's a loose way of ranking fighters in an objective manner. That being said...

The reason why there is an endless GOAT debate...

...is because people judge GOAT based on different metrics: A) If there were no weight classes, who would win it all in an open weight tournament. According to that logic, anyone who's not a HW or at least LHW can't be GOAT. B) Subjectively picking a fighter's 'prime' (which happens to end as...

why Jones GSP Fedor and Silva are the only GOAT candidates

If you don't have GSP as GOAT you are medically retarded. It's not even up for debate at this point. All loses avenged WW champ MW champ 9x WW defenses Clean fighter At this point I'll just assumed you people are trolling, no one is that dumb. Fedor was the clear GOAT in his prime, but his...

Does GSP have the best career statistics overall out of the very best UFC fighters

Are you really comparing Silva and Jones to GSP? Jones is a cheater, excluded from any GOAT talk. Silva is a cheater as well, but also has ELEVEN LOSSES. Are you on crack or just a blind hater?

For anyone that thinks Usman is above GSP already...

I just want to know: what kind of mental illness do people who claim Usman > GSP suffer from?

Apparently khabib is the same size as these guys

I never understood the obsession with basement dwellers wanting fighters to move up. We all know the only reason people want this is to see fighters lose. People said BJ Penn should go back down to LW, because he looked like shit at WW. Meanwhile, they cried that GSP never went to MW. When he...

Haha, DC puts himself on GOAT list, Anik leaves him off!

Hard to justify not having Khabib or GSP as #1 or #2. Also hard to justify anyone who got busted for roids on any P4P list. So #1-2 GSP and/or Khabib #3-4-5 a mix of non roiders with good records

    Is GSP articulate in French?

Sorry for the late reply. That's a tough one. I don't have a name on top of my head, but I guess try and picture someone's who's English is decent, but almost sounds robotic when talking. GSP is much more relaxed when he's with his friends/bars, etc. but when the camera is on he turns into a...

    Is GSP articulate in French?

I live in Montreal. My native tongue is French and I've met GSP before. I would say his French is ''decent'', not on part with Cormier/Bisping in terms of fluidity. GSP thinks carefully about each word he's gonna say, which takes away from a more natural speech. He's a very smart guy, it's just...

Is Fedor the only GOAT candidate, with no truly dislikeable qualities or traits..?

Fedor and GSP are both very likeable. Anderson and Jones are both very dislikeable and proven cheats. Draw your own conclusions.

Media Joe Rogan looking like a Legit 5'8 guy next to 5'11 Max Holloway

Well I've met both Bisping and GSP. GSP is listed as 5'10 or 5'11. He is closer to 5'8. Bisping is listed as 6'1 and I've heard people claim 6'2. I'm exactly 6'0 and was the same height or slightly taller. After seeing stuff like that I always deduct 1-3 inches to come up with the real...
