I wonder who turned the fight down, seems like a huge missed opportunity for a rising talent. I figured TK wasn't the first choice but it's still not good.

I only knew who TK is, when Hunt smashed him in 2006. I just thought of him as another Japanese HW fighter who will always will get beat by the elites. Plus, the DQ win over Fedor is bullshit

Mirko would like to fight Fedor on any terms, so it was not Mirko's condition. And Cro Cop is very sad that rematch with Fedor will not happen.

Probably Bellator or Millen or whoever is in charge placed that condition that Fedor has to beat Mitrione in order to be allowed to fight Cro Cop or as a condition for that fight to happen, or Fedor himself didn't want to accept the fight.

I understand that but tk is an elderly human.

Ksw Champ Marcin Rozalski was throwing his name out there, Mirko would have sell the fight alone no need for tk

Cro Cop also said in that post that he still does not know anything, so there is still a possibility that he will refuse Koshaka and fight somebody else.
 
I wasin't expecting a Cro Cop return, so as an addition to a weekend I'm already sold on I think it's okay.
 
Man i don't know. Mirko justifies this by saying he needs a fight to stay in rhythm but a part from the ambient, this fight offers nothing over a regular sparring session. Well, ambient and the money.

Mirko has a fairytale career ending finishing guys like Mo, Baruto and Ali - but he wants to stick around to fight Kosaka? This is just dumb.

This really isn't that bad of a fight considering the circumstances.

He out-cardioed James Thompson before that. It's not like Baruto did anything to "win."
 
Whats the point of having a 50 year old guy get koed? if they wanna give him a can, at least give him a young and healthy one, this reminds me of Overeem vs Fujita.

Maybe so. When JT fought Yoshida it was pretty much the same story but the other way around.

TK didn't look horrible was what I was trying to get across.
