Cain Velasquez Trial for Attempted Murder Expected to Begin in January

The whole purpose of the trial is for evidence to be fleshed out and we will know once and for all the FACTS surrounding this whole thing.

Based on that, I am reserving judgement.

First and foremost, let's prove that the culprit that Cain was shooting down, was indeed a child molester.


Even then, it still wouldn't excuse open-firing in public after a car chase on the highway... endangering god knows how many lives. Not to mention Cain shot the StepDad.

Imagine being the StepDad who was shot.

You're trying to do a good thing by helping your wife pick up her son and taking him to get his ankle monitor or whatever... then some deranged man is ramming into you with his car and firing bullets at you.

How f'ing scary that must have been for the StepDad and the mom. Have they even recovered? Will they ever?

Imagine having a HW sized human being who happens to be UFC Champion, coming after you to kill you with a gun.
And this whole thing becoming such a public fiasco too. how do you even recover from that?

Except they absolutely do, and testimony evidence from children are highly scrutinized due to how easy it can be to influence and manipulate their memories.

Look at the Mcmartin child abuse. Many children accused the teacher of specific sexual acts, satan worshipping, creating child porn, ect. All proven to be 100% false. Asking children leading questions can get them to say a lot of things.

If you asked a child a question like… Did he touch your pee pee? Vs. where did he touch you? It can matter.

What is the appropriate way of helping a kid pee?

I had a nanny growing up. I'm pretty sure she wiped my dick after I peed. Especially when I peed myself

Do you have to be properly qualified to wipe a child's privates at a daycare that your family owns?

if you ask sherdog what should be done about a guy that's accused of raping a woman, 90% of the answers will be that we shouldn't just pass judgement because the guy's only been accused, not proven guilty.

if you ask them what should be done about a guy that's accused of molesting a child, 90% of the answers will be that obviously you should empty an entire clip into his car and hit his father, who had nothing to do with it.

This pretty much.

Anybody defending Cain is a moron. Having kids does not give you a free license to go about shooting other people. He shot an innocent person, and could have killed someone. It could have been a kid, or anyone. The person accused hasn't even been proven guilty.

It's insane how people think being a parent somehow makes you more important or subject to special treatment in relation to other people.

I have so much empathy for people who end up in a situation where that is something they have to bare. Obv as a man one of the hardest things to handle is that you weren't able to protect the ones you love - but then what you need to is be there for them, not locked up because you went to get revenge.

The video below really sums it up though, the cops saying 'I understand, but stay down' everyone knows -

After multiple delays, there is a tentative timeline in place to begin Cain Velasquez’s trial for attempted murder.

During a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday at Santa Clara County (Calif.) Hall of Justice, Judge Daniel T. Nishagaya extended the trial setting date to Dec. 6. This was done on the condition that a trial date would be set for sometime in January at the next hearing.

“I am willing to give this another setting date with the understanding that I will be intending to set a trial date in the middle to later part of January on Dec. 6,” Nishagaya told the defense and prosecution.

The trial setting date has been extended multiple times since January. The former UFC heavyweight champion was not in attendance on Wednesday.

Velasquez is facing attempted murder and other charges after allegedy chasing and shooting at Harry Goularte, who has been accused of molesting Velasquez’s young son. During a high-speed chase, Velasquez fired at the vehicle containing Goularte and allegedly hit and injured his stepfather, Paul Bender. Velasquez has pleaded not guilty to the charges. If found guilty, he faces 20 years to life in prison.

Velasquez was released on released on $1 million bail in November after spending eight months in a holding facility. He remains under GPS surveillance and cannot leave his home without the court’s permission.

That's how you do it. That being said: Cain acted like a retard and endangered everyone around him + shooting the wrong guy. He'll probably spend some time in jail though I think the punishment won't be too harsh. He'll probably spend like1 year or so in prison and get out on probation would be my guess
