When it comes to police, people get defensive because they don't fully understand the racial aspect to this. They think that because the black community believes they are treated poorly, they must also believe it is all the fault of white cops. That is not typically the case at all. The black community does not only speak out against white cops, they speak out against all mistreatment. For example, the riots in Baltimore over Freddie Gray. Some of those officers were black, it was not about "racist white cops" it was about mistreatment from cops in general.

The racial element to BLM is not that white cops are evil. The racial element is that the black community feels mistreated by all ethnicities of police officers. This story is a prime example of that. These officers, from all different backgrounds, were all abusing the community they were supposed to protect. They were able to get away with it because it was a poor black community without much of a voice. When these communities speak out, you get huge backlash from the type of people in this thread right now. That is genuinely sad to me that people in these communities are taken advantage of, and it's even more sad that some people still refuse to listen to them in the face of mountains of evidence.

Too many detectives disgusted when they see violent people back on the streets in such a short amount of time, especially on a stupid technicality

which would make sense if they say assaulted or killed them...

It's one thing to say 'skim off the top' while on a legit call, it's a whole other to actively plan, coordinate, and enact a plan to armed rob people for the sole purpose of armed robbery

Check out the Bende van Nijvel too. It's never been proven but the evidence sure did point in the direction of cops covering up in the Dutroux case.

I started off by saying that BLM allowed it's message to be corrupted and warped, and that it is their own fault that it happened. They allowed their name to be spoiled by some of the actions and statements you listed above.

The larger point, is that the black community does deal with poor treatment from the police in many places across the country. Our society needs to acknowledge that, and takes steps to fix it instead of just becoming defensive and blaming poor people for their own mistreatment.

If you read some of the posts in this thread from a few of the "conservative" posters, I'm sure you'll agree that there are at least a few absolutely bizarre deflections. There are many, but here is one example:

I don't take anything personally. But to imply that all law enforcement is bad is reckless behavior on your part. I meet people everyday who hate the police, but you know what when they call 911 I will always be there no matter what.

Everyone takes some things personally. Not all law enforcement is bad, but when it comes to police corruption how credible is a cop's "swear to god" testimony that they never had any complaints? Just your word and you have good reason to lie about it. Not saying that you're lying but I'm sceptical.

So do you think people who get arrested should only have really shitty attorney’s? Maybe the cops should either make better cases or the State should get better DA’s.

Also, you are nuts if you think defense attorneys are liberal. PD’s may lean that way (but I’ve not seen evidence to that effect) but I doubt that you would find that among the ones charging $500/hr.

So yeah, lets cut the garbage that this is a sherfront forum. If anything it's quite the opposite. It's also shown that JosephDredd has posted at least 3 anti-cop/law-enforcement smear/hate-bait threads in the last two months. He's also made at least 28 threads that bash/smear Trump and the right wing/Republicans. He also has a fixation with the microscopic entity that is white supremacy when compared to the other major threats like BLM, Islamic Extremism and Communism in America. He's also had two threads dumped.

Two quick points

1. Even after all my right-wing terrorism threads, you still choose to be ignorant about the easily-confirmable fact that they're the number one domestic terror threat in America ( and have been for decades -- also the number one killers of law enforcement). It's because of posters like you that I chose to focus on the subject.
