Targeting Harmon seems particularly dumb if that video is a parody of Dexter, a show where the audience is supposed to have at least some sympathy for a serial murderer. Misplaced sympathy for the purpose of entertainment seems like part of the joke.

The people who are hoping to ruin these guys do it under the guise of serving even justice. The truth is - as was the case with Patton Oswalt recently, for example - they are banking on the non-existent attention span of average people and the fact that 9/10 of them won't bother to do any research and debunk their bullshit. Cernovich is the lowest of the low when it comes to this type of stuff and, frankly, deserves to be hung in a public square for the kind of mayhem he's helping create. But that would mean we live in a sane society, which is a laughable notion at this stage...
