If there is, I can't fathom it anymore than the pilgrims could've fathomed smartphones. As of now, I say "no", but who's to say we won't have some Black Mirror type crap where all of our consciouses are connected through some massive system and we can communicate with someone across the globe with just a thought? Just spitballing ideas.

Also... 1,000 more years? That's ambitious buddy.
