Israel is used to criticism: Every time they respond to an attack, they receive condemnation from the rest of the world. But it's not mere criticism that they're risking this time around. Hamas is clearly hoping for a response that will elicit a lot more than just that.

Hamas' slogan "We love death more than Israelis love life" tells you all you need to know. You can't make peace with complete neanderthal savages like that. And the support they have among muslims worldwide is massive and growing by the minute right now. This is not a good situation for anyone.

That said, countries like America and Israel think they can just invade and occupy foreign countries and kill their citizens simply because they have the might to do so.
