Just dumped my GF over politics

Out of curiousity, does either one of them have the bull dyke haircut?
Im on a family vacation with my feminazi sister and her even worse wife and their hypocrisy is astounding. Not just with politics. "You know what I love about this place? There arent even any four star hotels here! It feels so real!" When we get to our three star hotel she proceeds to pick the place apart as if she expected a four seasons lol.

She sounds like an idiot. And worse, unkind.

Consider it good riddance, you can do better.

My sister used to but she grew it out now. Her wife looks like a normal chick

That's just dumb.

I've had super liberal gal pals and exes, it was frustrating to go shopping with them when they'd get in the mode of reading the labels for country of origin. They'd sigh and lament that the country had bad civil rights so she couldn't support them. At least that's morally consistent.

Petey, your name turned orange.

Hey, you're still alive!

Congratulations.

I agree with the last part, but I think this loses something. The bottom is higher for white people. There are parts of the white experience that differ from the non white experience that are at the core of privilege.

When I worked at Blockbuster (20 years ago?), my manager would ask me to follow black costumers to make sure they weren't stealing. He's not do this with white people. If he recognized them as a Chiefs player, he'd not ask.

Imagine having a good job, wearing nice clothes, driving up in a nice car, and because of the color of your skin it's assumed you'd steal. Imagine if that was your experience most of the time you went into a store. Imagine that when you go for a walk people post to the Facebook neighborhood watch and NextDoor pages to alert the neighborhood that a black person is taking a walk (this happens all the time in my neighborhood). Imagine the police assume you're up to something at all times. You smile at a kid, and the parents stand between you and the kid and avoid looking at you.

It's not just about jobs (though research shows employers are less likely to offer to candidates with black names), it's about all these things.

These things don't mean white people need to be vilified for being white, but ignoring these things won't help anyone.

Again though its the difference between acknowling that inequality exista in our society in terms of race and sex that does need to be addressed and claiming no white straight male can be in a disadvantaged position in society.

Thesimple reality behind all the political upsets of the past decad for me has been the key issue is wealth inequality, the establishment generally avoids this because confronting it would impact the wealth of those who back it, its much more comfortable pushing cheaper identity politics even though in reality these are also issues linked to wealth inequality. the biggest disadvantages of being black, homosexual, female, etc come when your less well off.

I used to live with them in Oregon. They would bitch at me because i didnt completely fill the dishwasher when i did a load because "In this house we conserve water!" They would then drive to Washington to buy showerheads because they only sell the water saving ones in Oregon. Then they'd each take 30 minute showers.

I agree about the wealth inequality point.

As for the other, I think a lot of it is psychology. It's people that think saying black lives matter is an attack on white people. It's people that think letting gay people marry hurts straight marriage.

People trying to push people to look at white privilege make white people feel attacked. White people don't need to feel bad that they have privilege, most white people with privilege aren't doing anything wrong by being unwitting beneficiaries. And it's easy for people who struggle to find work, struggle to keep up on credit card payments, people taking out payday loans to feel the word privilege has anything to do with them. Not things could by much worse for them if they weren't white. Probably.

It's much harder to come up with relevant policy. Wealth would be easier to address, but hard to raise the funds to run on that...

That's terrific!

Thats one of my big rules when dating, dont date women who are feminsit liberals. They have thus imaginary enemy, like saying fuck the patriachy and like to reach to play victim like this woman.

Self righteous people use it as a means to act superior, I have a lot of family just like that. One day they are vegan, the next they are bragging about cooking duck pate which is a horribly cruel and inhumane process to fatten up a duck.

A lot of people are disgustingly hypocrites and lacking in moral compass yet judge everyone else. Only way to deal with people like that is ignore them or outright confront them. And since to me it's never been worth my time to have drama with people I don't like I ignore them.

My sister did the same thing preached vegetarianism for years and then gave it up now she eats steak all the time. Same with TV "TV is horrible for you! Help me convince mom yo get rid of her tv!" Now she has one and you honest to god cant name a show she hasnt seen. She must watch all day long

I listened to it. I think he was right to dump his ex.

Yeah, that goes without saying. The point is, racism was the biggest driver in Trump's victory. It's mathematical, simple as that. Now, that doesn't mean that everyone should who voted for Trump was racist. And keep in mind, there are varying degrees of racism. I'm just saying, his girlfriend may have had a point. But that's a pretty big assumption to make about your boyfriend's father. Shit, my mom and step dad voted for Trump. But, they are racists.
