Why? He's providing a service that people obviously need. And he's probably doing the hardest part of it. Or does the guy who sits in the air conditioned office wearing a shirt and tie whose entire job is looking at schedules and shifting electronic numbers representing OTHER peoples money not deserve a wage because his job isnt 'hard'? Whats the breaking point?
Should a job only reward you if it takes advance degrees? so a Ph.D in greek mythology should be pulling 6 figures all day but the master carpenter should be living on the dole?
Or should a job only pay livable wages based on the physical/mental effort to perform? like how every construction worker and coal miner in the country is driving a Lambo?
Oh i know, the pay scale should compare to the value to society. Thats a fair trade. Except teachers require lots of education and training, are responsible for shaping youth, but still dont get paid shit either.
The simple fact is, As money has become increasingly non-existent in the physical sense, it has become easier for those with jobs that dont actually produce a tangible product or service, to fleece the economy. After all, if the money isnt 'real' then the effort to produce it doesnt need to be either. Thats why Wall street speculators have been raping the economy.
