Are you excited for preseason, only to complain about it in 2 weeks?

They got to make sure their product is safe enough for parents to allow their kids to play it or they won't have a product in the future

Also I'm pretty sure a lot of flags are thrown in preseason so they can go over what is right or wrong and have (hopefully) better calls during the season
As long as guys are making 20 million a year and kids are getting out of poor neighborhoods to go to good schools there will be a pipeline of talent IMO

I'm curious if they can really get rid of helmets in the next 10 years. A movement that thinks helmets cause more concussions then they prevent

I’d almost guarantee they do.

I’d almost guarantee they do.
Guarantee they cause more concussions, or get removed ? I agree with the former, dunno about the latter. They keep creating new helmets

Sorry, guaranteed they cause more concussions than they prevent. It completely changes the way you hit.

There are a lot of new refs this year also, so there will be a learning curve.

I agree. Also it's basically giving guys a weapon to hit with.

Yah, I remember them doing a study on how wearing pads and helmets changed how football players tackle. When they were wearing all their gear they tended to hit WAY harder, just throwing themselves into it far more than what was actually needed.

Ill be far less interested in a more pussified version tbh. I get the safety thing, but the physicality is part of the entertainment.

My kids wont play until theyre old enough to make their own decisions though lol.

Helmet rule

Unnecessary Roughness - defenseless receiver.

I know they are going to "call it less" in the regular season, but it's stupid lol.

At least the face mask

Hackenshit confirmed Super Bowl run

Got around to watching the Bills preseason game earlier today. That racist kid they drafted has a fucking cannon for an arm and some good speed and moves for such a hard working non-explosive qb.

Is Chomo-Stache his final form?

Redskins' Robert Davis suffered multiple ligament damage in knee, sources say

RICHMOND, Va. -- The Washington Redskins have suffered yet another season-ending injury, as wide receiver Robert Davis suffered multiple ligament damage to the outside of his right knee in practice Saturday, according to multiple sources.

Coach Jay Gruden on Sunday confirmed that Davis would undergo surgery and miss the 2018 season. Davis will be sidelined nine to 12 months, Gruden said.

Davis, who also suffered a broken tibia, becomes the third Washington player to be lost for the season, with rookie running back Derrius Guice headlining the list of casualties. He tore his ACL in Thursday's preseason loss to the New England Patriots. Tight end Manasseh Garner also tore his ACL in that game.

Davis was fighting for a backup job; he caught three passes for 35 yards against the Patriots.

He was injured in practice Saturday during a 7-on-7 drill while jumping for a pass against cornerback Danny Johnson. Davis struggled to get off the ground, then was helped to the sideline, where he was soon placed on a cart and driven into the facility. The sixth-round pick in 2017 spent most of last season on the practice squad but did appear in one game.

NFL Network first reported the nature of Davis' injury

I didn't think Luck could look any worse. I was amazingly mistaken in that assumption.
