All three great but Ozark is the worst of the three
bullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
The cheating whore wife was strangely sexy.

I hate her fucking guts but I'd get in those guts once or twice if the offer was there, even tho shes old enough to be my grandma

The saga of the Byrde family will soon be coming to an end after Netflix renewed Ozark for an expanded fourth and final season.

The drama, which stars Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner, has been renewed for 14 final episodes with the season split into two seven-episode parts.

The new season will mark the final chapter in the Byrde family’s journey from suburban Chicago life to their criminal enterprise in the Ozarks, particularly after that season three ending.

Bateman plays Marty Byrde, a financial advisor-turned-money launderer for a Mexican drug cartel, who moves to the Lake of the Ozarks to make good for the cartel. Linney stars as his wife Wendy, who becomes wrapped up in a series of schemes, including casino operations in season three. Cast returning includes Garner, who plays Ruth Langmore, the Byrde’s younger consigliere, Sofia Hublitz as Charlotte Byrde, Skylar Gaertner as Jonah Bryde, Charlie Tahan as Ruth’s cousin Wyatt Langmore and Lisa Emery as local heroin distributor Darlene Snell.

I really hope they release at least the first part soon. I guess Covid-19 has really fucked with their production schedule, especially since they're doing 14 episodes this season instead of 10 like in previous seasons. This has the potential to be like Dexter season 4, except they're wrapping things up after this.

The daughter looks like Bran Stark
LOL. Never heard of him before, but looked it up and you're right.

PS - I realize I'm responding to a banned poster, but this is for whoever is still watching the thread after I bumped it...

After trying to watch this for 2 years I finally pushed passed season 1 ep 8. Now I'm getti g the hype it started really getting better. Heard it keeps getting better every season.

It’s an amazing show. I put it off myself til last year and after a few episodes.. I’d binged all 3 seasons over a week. Amped for the final season.

I don't recall making it to season 2. The protagonist was too much of a Mary Sue and the main villain (the mexican guy) was too cartoonish.

It was difficult for me to push thru tbe first 8 eps. Other than liking Ruth n the old guy it was boring g honestly. Felt like a wanna be remake of BB or BCS After ep 8 it seems to really pick up n doesn't look back. NOT quite on par with BB but I actually starting to like it better than BCS and I'm only midway thru season 2.

Do what I did just skim till ep 9. Actually ep 8 is decent to watch as it gives you the back story.

Most overrated show of recent times. 6 out of 10 at the very best. Doesn't come close to The Sopranos or The Wire. Succession is a million times better as well.

It's good but not great. Doesn't hold a candle to all time greats like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Wire. But worth a watch. I'm excited for the final season.

A few hours to go. My body is ready.

I dont have netflix as I cancelled it some time ago. Too much trash and woke shit for my taste and not enough old classics, but Ozark was solid and if S4 is good I will subscribe again for a month.

So how is season 4? No spoilers please but does it at least hold up to season 3?

the ass beating he gave that one guy when he was teaching seemed to fore shadow that. his character was a bit unnecessary.

Imo he is the benchmark for how low Martys wife will sink in order to get the power & money she so much craves for. The brother mirrored her transformation into cartell gangster. At the beginning she does everything to protect him, in the end she sells him out for a spot at the table.

Its a nice analogy but not very subtle.

I do hope now in season 4 that Marty & Wendy fighting each other is the main plot. Annother happy family reunion should be impossible after all the developments in season 3 and imo would take away from the shows grit. At this point their relationship is irredeamable and I would say Marty hates her

Edit: rewatched the ending of s3. Its not so one sided with Wendy. She didnt just sell out her brother but he really endangered them and quite sure would have gotten the whole family killed. She is hurt but in the end she felt the decision was her brother or her children. S3 was better than I rememberd it. Will watch s4 definitely. Surprised that its only 7 episodes. Part of what put me off the Wendy character imo is not only Wendy but that the actress doesnt have much range.

BTW imo the pregnant woman who is super capable is a really played out trope at that point. I get it you show supposed weakness and vulnerabilty by her being pregnant and then she is super tough...etc. Show creaters have overdone it to were its just comical absurd. I am just waiting on the next Marvel movie with a 7 months pregnant superheroine kicking ass

I found s4 inadvertently, started watching and was kind of bored and distracted in the first scenes, but it took me in like the rest. It is Ozark of old.

In first episode, was the wife’s bf thrown off the balcony by drug cartel and no cops came to scene? Maybe i missed something but main characters were still talking at the bf’s penthouse for a bit.

Honestly....I can hardly get through episode 1 of season 4 b/c of fucking Wendy Byrde. I can't take it.

Now they having this Javi guy trying to act like Lalo Salamanca....come on.
