It's laughable to compare his career to GSP's.

He has time to add more to his legacy but at this time I still would not put him over Hughes.

How is it a lie when the issue was in large part due to bulking up? He wasn't fighting Khabib at 185 lbs. Danaher has spoken about it in detail. GSP had a terrible camp for Diaz, Hendricks and then the Bisping fight.

Dana has no issue giving Conor title shot after title shot and we all know Conor has never defended anything aside from Rape Accusations. He didn't even defend Cage Warriors titles.

Dana gifted Jon the vacant HW title against an easy match up with Cyril and he is letting him "Defend" against Stipe while there is a legitimate "Interim" title holder in Aspinall. Jon won't even agree he will defend that and in fact has publicly stated he is likely to retire. Stipe is more likely to defend against Tom if he win then Jon is yet the UFC and Dana have no problem with it.

Dana's whining about "Contractually Obligated" to defend applies to every UFC champion. They have to defend, vacate or be stripped. GSP could have held onto the UFC MW title for months or years and left the UFC, Whittaker and the MW division in limbo but he chose to let them move on without concern for clinging to the title like McGregor did.

Bulking up? GSP walks around at 185, he doesn’t need to bulk up to 205 and then cut down to 185.

What a load of crap.

Yeah Jones and McGregor didn’t make a promise to defend, while George did.

That makes George a liar.

1. The real question is not whether Dana believes this or not (he doesn't) but rather why he believes he can say it. Obviously it will get refuted on Sherdog, but who cares. The real answer is he has a media monopoly and an (overall) idiot fanbase who buys any horseshit he pushes. So he likely thinks "well no reason not to say this". It is the benefit of a braindead/slave caste surrounding him.

2. Completely off-topic, but I think people here are seriously underestimating a STOPPAGE win over prime Burns. Arguably Kamaru's best win of his whole title reign possibly. That + the 5 round domination over a champ-Tyron likely.

LOL bro, talk about revisionist history.

Arguments like yours have been debunked before. People will be saying the same thing about Usman's opponents 10-20 years from now. They'll say he was never that good, had weak competition, etc., was lucky to be champion. You cannot look back on history and retroactively judge how good competition was, because it's impossible to be unbiased. You will see Jon Fitch as he was towards the end of his career, not Jon Fitch as he was at the time he was on his huge winning streak.

GSP was a beast and prime GSP would definitely beat Usman.
You Sir should reread everything I said not just the part you don’t like. Then you can see how you copulating GSP publicly this way to a man that calls him great makes you a wonderful cocksucker but little more. Did you miss the part where I said he really didn’t face any evolved strikers with high TD defense before you brought up Fitch? Or you were too deeply involved in blowing him to notice that’s a shit example? Enjoy your morning slurp Sir. Just pipe down

You realize the sport evolves right? Another 15 years and the WW champion will make prime Usman look like shit.

The WW champion of tomorrow will be an upgraded version of the one of the today and the past.

You are acting like one of those people who argue Michael Jordan can beat Lebron lol.

Usman is too strong for GSP, too fast, too much stamina, better nutrition, better coaches, more collective experience, and more skilled.

Usman will make dominant GSP the way GSP dominated Hughes.

You can’t compare the fighters of yesterday to the ones today. Just like how the WW champion 15 years from now will be faster, stronger, and more skilled than Usman.
You dont know shit dude, stop pretending with that Iphone BS lol is ridiculous

Maia and Masvidal were fighters from GSP generation and still tittle contenders, despite the wear and tear, in Usman era

I mean he lied to get that title shot. He promised Dana he would defend if he won. Then he lied and retired cause health… which is bs since he was willing to come back for Khabib.
The conditions were bs, gsp knew this, all his fans knew this, gsp can do what he wants, he’s mma royalty.

Fighters that evolved and stayed with coaches that trained new generations.

Maia improved a ton in his striking/takedowns to stay relevant, Masvidal also improved a ton.

The Maia that fought Anderson Silva would be killed by the Maia that fought Covington.

He was 192lbs for the Bisping fight. And that was him trying to add muscle mass and having issues medically. Specifically with his stomach. Every champion is "Contractually Obligated" to defend. GSP didn't "Pinky Swear" he was contractually obligated just like all the others. The contractual stipulation is defend, vacate or be stripped. GSP fulfilled his contractual obligation, Dana just didn't like it.

Usman might barely squeaks past Hughes if at all (still a toss up in my mind)

Comparing him to GSP is laughable.

Dana is just being a promoter. He doesn't believe half the things he say. He's just trying to appeal to the O'Malley/Nelk Boys fans.

He signed a multi fight deal, he negotiated that he would fight a number of times.

He did pinky swear. Stop with this he didn’t lie bs.

Is this actually true? Anyone got a soruce that isn't a well known shit posting shill?

It's because GSP called Dana a liar over the potential Khabib fight.
ees normal

I'm not sure Usman deserves to be ranked above Hughes. GSP is by far the WW GOAT.

How many defenses did they both rack up? The answer will tell you who is the actual WW GOAT.

No, he would not
Much less the Maia who dropped to WW already well into his 30s and lost to Rory or Shields. Or the Maia who barely edged Masvidal.
Stop pretending. There are better hobbies out there for you
