Prime Fedor simply had a level of athleticism that is still unmatched in HW MMA

. The explosiveness, speed, the power, the balance and coordination. It's simply on a different level. 2004 Fedor would end any HW that has ever existed Ngannou-Joshua just made this crystal clear in my mind. Ngannou is nowhere as quick and agile as Fedor. The most well rounded HW fighter the sport has ever seen, even 20 years later.

I agree that 2004 Fedor could likely win against anyone at any era, but he could also get KTFO too. He was seriously rocked by Fujita and that guy wasn’t exactly swinging Ford Escorts attached to his arms.

Other fighters were just learning MMA when Fedor was on top. The sport passed him by. There is a reason Fedor was good and it was because HW division is a joke and always has been. He god murdered by a 50 year old MW.

What a joke lmfaoo. The pride heavyweight division was 10x deeper than any era of hw in the ufc.
That is a myth. It 100% was not. HW divisions back then had fighters who barely knew what MMA was. Now at least they know BJJ, Wresting and can actualy fight standing. Most of the HW's at that time were so one dimensional that is was laughable bad.

It passes everyone by. No shit sherlock. Prime Fedor still is impossible to defeat however.

I can decrease or increase ages by 10 yrs at will too.

What's laughable is the thought that the HW division now is filled with guys who know wrestling or bjj.

There's literally only 3 or 4 guys that know any grappling at all.

Most of the HW division now are glorified toughman with rudimentary striking at best with heavy hands

As opposed to the mid 2000 which was full of hw that were well rounded

Fedor, Barnett, Nog, Arlovski, Ricco, Randy, Rizzo, Werdum, Herring, Reem

And at least the guys that were 1 dimensional were elite at that ie. Crocop, Aleks, Sergei, Hunt

Fedor was a phenomenom and you cant compare with other HWs. Its like comparing Messi with other football-players. Sometimes the gap in talent is just too big.

Biggest thing that stands out, and a lot of things stand out, was his MW hand speed with HW power behind it.

Ngannou is at least 37

Ngannou is officially 37. Some thinks he's considerably older than that. Remember, all the Fedor fan girls said his "prime" ended around age 32. And even an out of shape Fury would maul 37-year old Fedor in boxing.
