Prime Fedor simply had a level of athleticism that is still unmatched in HW MMA

Arlovski was KO'd by both Datsik and Brett Rogers before he even got old. Yes, he was a talented and athletic fighter, but had some very exploitable holes. Tim Sylvia lost to a 43-year old Couture (who spent most of his career at LHW) and an "out of prime" Big Nog before Fedor beat him. By Fedor fan logic, Sylvia was well beyond his prime by that point.

I agree that 2004 Fedor could likely win against anyone at any era, but he could also get KTFO too. He was seriously rocked by Fujita and that guy wasn’t exactly swinging Ford Escorts attached to his arms.
NO

he couldnt have

cos he had so many hw fights any they all had oppurtunities to do it and they fucking didnt

Ngannou is at least 37

Ngannou is officially 37. Some thinks he's considerably older than that. Remember, all the Fedor fan girls said his "prime" ended around age 32. And even an out of shape Fury would maul 37-year old Fedor in boxing.

By the time Fedor was 37 he had been fighting for 15 years.

By the time Ng was 37 he had been fighting for 7 years.

🤡

People still say Cro-Cop has otherwordly TDD because he stuffed those shots from a 42-year old Coleman. They forget Big Nog, Gonzaga and others took Mirko down.

Cro Cop had fantastic takedown defense. That doesn't mean he never got taken down. It means it wasn't an easy thing to do. He stuffed a juiced up Kevin Randleman power double like it was nothing but yes he's been taken down before. Stipe Miocic got taken down by Joey Beltran. That doesn't mean he couldn't stuff DC shots. You're one of those 🤡 who likes to define a fighters skill by a single moment

Sylvia was still good when he fought Fedor but he was definitely past his best days. With that said he was still good enough to beat the likes of Brandon Vera. Out of Big Nog, Cop and AA, Tim was the least in his prime but the way Fedor annihilated him was impressive and unprecedented.

AA at his peak was an absolute animal and had the power and speed to KO literally anyone. He was on a tear when Fedor swatted him out of the sky. Coming into that fight with wins over Werdum and stoppages over Rothwell and Nelson who no one was stopping in those days. Not even prime JDS. AA was training with Freddie Roach at the time and sparring Andy Ruiz every day.
Just because AA has been KOd doesn't mean a win over him at his very best means nothing.

How'd that Mitrione KO feel?

That fight was 16 years into his career. What was it supposed to feel like? As a fan it wasn't surprising. Fedors chin was shot by that point. He got flash KOd by Maldonado in the previous fight and then knocked down by Mir in the fight after. All this after 40+ fights of never being knocked down. Using the Mitrione fight as some kind of measuring tool for Fedor is clown shit.

🤡

The most overrated goat of all time, if mark Coleman is one of your best wins then you’re overrated

Your talking to a clown poster.

fedor vs crocop is the most skilled hw fight of all time. Crocop showed he could hang with fedor on the ground and fedor showed he could stand with cropcop. The way he kept waking crocop down showed how fearless he was. He was ready for the LHK. He blocked all of them. In one of the exchanges crocop was going in hard on fedor against the ropes and fedor took 2 swings and crocop stumbled and backed off like "oh shit, i better be careful." Fedor was something special.

To be honest though Sylvia really had two peaks, the earlier roided phase were he was much more aggressive and the latter phase were he was more careful and used his reach more. Prior to the Fedor fight the only match he looked bad in was vs Randy and I think heavy qualifers should be on that with the UFC forcing him to fight with a serious back injury(threatened to strip him if he got sugary instead). Its After Fedor I think Sylvia clearly goes off a cliff, comes back 40lb heavier a year latter, understandable I spose as he'd had his biggest payday but also probably knew he'd lost his last shot at the bigtime or at least was along rebuild away from another.

Most importantly though he started much latter than Fedor and has still had far fewer fights than Fedor did before he started losing.

To be fair I think Francis is also one of the most physically gifted guys ever to fight at HW, Fedor, Crocop, Arlovski, Ngannou.

Peak vs Peak as a Fedor fan I would be much more worried by him fighting Ngannou than I would him fighting Stipe.

When they fought in 2004 Coleman was the MMA Goat candidate, having won 2 UFC tournaments, UFC HW belt and Pride 2000 Grand Prix. You could literally not find anybody with better resume than Coleman.
Yea, so how bad was MMA back then compared to now? Very
