Need me to break it down for you?

Nearly 90% of Congress in the US identify as being Christians. Only two US President even have a bit of question about their Christian faith Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. Yet you are telling me Christians are persecuted in America? Nah, White Christian Nationalist are soft as fuck running around playing the victim. They are too busy carrying water for Russia, to realize the horrible shit that is happening right now. No wonder you can identify with them so well.

There are even Air to Air , 1 V 1 battles , one of the Ukrainian Pilots has taken multiple Russian Jets , they are calling him the Ghost of Kiev.

Social media at its current height is fascinating when it comes to this conflict be stuff like this will circulate as Ukraine tries to hold on. Imagine the Klitzcho Brothers getting into armed conflicts against Russian Soldiers and one of them or possibly both of them get killed.

What a world.

Do you want Biden to send troops, play it diplomatic (sanctions and sending supplies), completely sit on his hands, or join Putin?

If I'm the president, I'm staying out of it for now. These are disputed regions between a super power and a lesser power, right beside the super power, and nowhere near us. Observe, build up intelligence, and wait for the next move. If Russia invades all of Ukraine, it becomes more clear that they are desperately scared of having Nato on their border. If they invade all of Ukraine, I still think you don't get involved militarily, but you keep Russia under your watchful eye. I really believe Russia does not want war with Nato, and would never attempt to attack a Nato country.

Send supplies to help citizens, otherwise stay out of it. War with Russia is very serious, even with Nato allies. Russia has missile systems that are so advanced that they cant be stopped by any defense system. Americans might have the most military hardware but if Russia launched a preemptive first strike the results could devastating to the US.

It might sound cold, but imo the best thing to do is stay out of it, at least for now. If they invade all of Ukraine, sanctions.

If they attack a nato country a combined military effort from Nato with US forces would likely be the response. How fast that could escalate to high energy weapons is anyones guess.

Christianity is down to about 70% now.

I have read a few pieces over the years which insinuate that the Russian military is not that great. I recall the Georgian military putting up a decent effort against them. Putin bringing up the topic of nukes now almost seems like a trump card for when heavy casualties are seen from direct combat. A lot of the equipment being abandoned by the Russians/Russians being captured makes this seem not that great, but I understand that is grossly unsubstantiated at this point just from a few videos.
I see a common counter-argument that these first wave of troops are just cannon fodder. But why? I think people are living out their Sid Meyer's fantasies of sacrificing their bowmen just to have a brutal tank pincer attack on ghandi before he can complete building his nuclear launch pads. Thoughts?

Russia is fucking broke. They can't afford to train like the USA and other western countries. Most of their "experienced" troops have been bombing civilians in Syria with hardly any resistance. They are a paper tiger for conventional warfare. The only thing that has allowed them to be so brazen is their nuclear arsenal.

Imagine the Russian that kills one of the Klitzxho brothers is a fan of them. Fucking crazy

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania calls for Russia's expulsion from the SWIFT global banking system

Russia should be cut off from the SWIFT bank-messaging system as a punishment for invading Ukraine, three countries in the eastern part of the European Union said on Thursday. Their call was echoed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is calling on the international community to help protect his country's sovereignty.

On Thursday, the foreign ministers of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania called for the move in a joint statement that condemned Russia's attacks on Ukraine.

The ministers called on the international community to impose the "strongest possible sanctions on Russia, including disengaging Russia from SWIFT, isolating it politically" and supporting Ukraine.

In remarks on Thursday, President Biden said the U.S. and allies would not take the step of cutting Russia off from using the SWIFT system for global banking transactions, because Europe did not want to, but he said the option would be held in reserve.

White House officials predicted last week that the first sanctions triggered by a Russian invasion would not likely include a ban from SWIFT, citing the potential for "spillover effects."

SWIFT underpins the global financial system, handling millions of secure messages every day to help banks manage transactions around the world. SWIFT was founded in the 1970s, and its headquarters are outside Brussels.

"It doesn't move the money, but it moves the information about the money," Alexandra Vacroux, executive director of the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University, said in an interview with NPR last month.

Cutting Russia off from the SWIFT messaging system is seen as the "nuclear option" because of the wide impact such a move would have, Vacroux said. When Iran was removed from the system, she added, "they lost half of their oil export revenues and 30% of their foreign trade."

Vacroux said Russia started working on its own version of SWIFT years ago, out of concern that it might be cut off because of its illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014.

With Russia now attacking Ukraine in a full-scale invasion, Zelenskyy said on Thursday that Russia shouldn't be allowed to remain in the banking system.

"We demand the disconnection of Russia from SWIFT, the introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukraine and other effective steps to stop the aggressor," he said via Twitter, adding that he discussed those measures with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Even though it is an international organization that is jointly owned by its members, SWIFT has said in the past that because it's incorporated in Belgium, it is obligated to comply with decisions that are confirmed by its home country's government.

Russia isn’t coming anywhere near a preemptive attack right now. Pretty much every NATO country is on high alert
