I was hoping no one else would bring up other countries since this thread specifically about Sweden but....

I really wish Americans (especially black people) would do a little more traveling in Europe, South America and most of Asia. They'd learn what REAL racism is and feels like. They'd be running back to the US REALLY quick.

I´m married to a woman that are racist by default. Her culture made her look down on people that are dark skinned. Slowly but surely I have changed her attitude slightly.

point? my point was to say that Azaelia Banks said something about Swedish culture that struck me as politically incorrect.

i really had no idea who she is (i figured she must be a celebrity of some sort), though she seems to be someone who sings songs.

i googled her and was turned off immediately when i read that she slagged on the Stone Roses, a great band out of the UK from the 80's.

i've read that Sweden is kind of boring...and of the major European cities one can visit, Stockholm can be a drag - so maybe there is some truth to Ms. Banks observations - but her statements struck me as politically incorrect. if one is performing there and seeks to draw a large audience, they seemed misguided.

Of course it's racism. I don't know much about her but as others have said this appears to be a troll job for pr. Nonetheless the statements about bombing so Swedes have something to cry over is indefensible.

What I will say is that I do think Swedes are a bit phony when it comes to race and liberalism in general. They pretend to be holier than thou especially when compared to Americans and like to point out how much this is the case but they do appear to have a sort of benign dislike of others or maybe they just prefer to be among their own, which I have no problem with.
