Seagate, then. I know your current one messed up but their failure rate is only 0.93% out of 500.

Get a dedicated video card first.Howdy y'all.
I have an off-the-shelf pc with an i7-6700 in it (this model). I'd like to upgrade that to an i7-7700K (maybe even an 8700K, but I heard I would need a new motherboard for that, so maybe not). Is it as simple as just pulling out the current processor and dropping the new one in? Or is it more involved than that?
I haven't gotten one because I don't actually game on it. I'm just looking to improve stream quality. I can do 720/30, but want to bump that to 720/60.Get a dedicated video card first.
What brand? Got me a samsung a couple months back and it basically ressurrected my gaming laptop. So my SSD just fried again. 7 months after my last one fried and I even invested in a water cooling system. What a joke.
Luckily I had 2 extra old SATA's I could boot from.
Sandisk originally. Apparently they replaced it with the cheapest 256 gb SSD they could find. What brand? Got me a samsung a couple months back and it basically ressurrected my gaming laptop.
You're water cooling your ssd?So my SSD just fried again. 7 months after my last one fried and I even invested in a water cooling system. What a joke.

Lol no, my processor, but when I burnt the first SSD out (which was less than a year old) it was from my computer overheating running PUBG for 12 hours a day. I figured adding water cooling (It's like an air conditioner sitting next to it now) Would have prevented that from happening again. You're water cooling your ssd?
You shouldn't have any problems swapping the 6700K out for a 7700K. They're both the same socket.I haven't gotten one because I don't actually game on it. I'm just looking to improve stream quality. I can do 720/30, but want to bump that to 720/60.
Awesome! Might have to make the drive to microcenter tomorrow. Thanks bud!You shouldn't have any problems swapping the 6700K out for a 7700K. They're both the same socket.

Hopefully this mining craze dies a fiery death like it did last time.GPU prices are fucking crazy right now. Everything mid tier or higher is double MSRP right now in the states.
Even older used cards like the R9 290 and RX 480 are selling over $400. These miners are crazy
